| I will be one of the first to addmit that Ed is a dumb inbred farmer with an IQ bordering Clein's, but out of the other choices, I would still pick him. Though it would be a close call between the conservatives, and the NDP. I am a conservative at heart which is why I would choose them over the NDP. But NDP leadership I think is something for other parties to be envious of now. |

Watch your mouth. Kevin Taft is a family friend. His views and policies are 100000x better than what Ed's. Ed is destroying Alberta's environment and ignoring alot of key issues. Conservatives have fucked Canada in the ass time and time again. Just look at the past. I am actually impressed they have not fucked Canada over yet. Then again, they are only a minority government at this point in time so they can't do THAT much damage.

| I take it you guys think something like Equalization payments is wrong then? Thats why our money went out east last time. To help the struggling maritime provinces. However, our conservative leaders freaked out and started going against the federal laws and bitched about helping the other provinces out. Guess what the liberal government did for our economy back when our province was struggling the most out of any province? they sent tons of money our way. When we are asked to return the favour what do Albertans do? They bitch and cry about it. |

Now what you did say that was constructive was that the minority federal government means less opportunities for corruption. I fucking hate corruption, and I think a mix of ideas and viewpoints is a real canadian ideal. Liberals (federally) sucked because they stole. Conservatives sucked in alberta because the premier was a fat drunk slob who fucked education, health care, and social safety over. But the Liberals did make some good international trade moves, and the conservatives did get alberta out of debt, putting us in what could be a great financial position. The NDP sucks because they are freakin whiners.
What I really hate to see in canada on either side of the political spectrum is a move towards US style politiking, be it left wing uninformed pussyfooting or right wing anti whatever advertising. None of that is useful, mature, or helping to build a good country and place to live. |

from what i remember did our farmers not get the shaft from Trudeau? supposedly our greatest liberal prime minister? Lots of my family in farming thinks so. And can you give me a breakdown of how much of our equalization payments actually make it to the maritimes? If it was all going there I would support it. But when we have to support a provice like quebec's social funding because the rediculous amount of revenue they already bring in from forrestry, manufacturing, and energy is not enought to not only keep a mother on her ass collecting daycare money from the government but to do it in a fuckin lazyboy, i have a problem |

If the conservatives have only a minority government then that is a good chance of change. Minority governments always seem to work well with minimal amount of transparency as opposed to zero transparency with a majority. Just look at the example of the federal goverment. I am a proud Canadian who does not like the future of this province with privatized health care and privatized every thing and pay more. We already pay one of the highest rates of insurance, heating and electricity bills, all because of semi privatization. Thanks, you empty headed Tories. Go suck the eagles cock

As for the non-constructive adds, those are coming from a right wing party. I honestly pray to god that our election campaigns do not start becoming like the US. Hmmm... Taft is saying Alberta should share its wealth. With a platform like that he should be running for leader of the federal liberal party. It won't fly in Alberta where we are already paying more than our fair share in equalization payments.
