yes prelude99

2ndgenlude
when i got it done on my 4th gen it was about a 1000-1500 in labour. i can't remember. + the price of parts. Then unless you do it yourself its next to impossible to find a shop to do it. I know speedtech in calgary did it on a 2001 Lude and they did a good job. not cheap though.

tcpx
jus sell it and buy a 5speed 5th gen

dont get discouraged its actually not that hard ive done 5 tranny swaps now and its something that can be done in a day if everything is there and all goes well. i had no clue how to change spark plugs the first time i did one in a cavalier.
i just found a car for 50 bucks that a firehall used for jaw of life training and started unbolting the trans figured it would go in the same way. I also knew alot of people that worked at GM and they were just drunks and junkies so if they could put it in, I could as well.

Do some research, do some more, then get all the big stuff tranny, pedal assembly. then start getting the other parts clutch, CV joints etc. dont overlook the wiring because thats different and then either plan for a week to do your first one or make friends with people with garages and honda knowledge then get lots of beer and trick them into helping you. and your on your way.
first one took me 8 days it was plagued with problems throughout but i got it done. last one in my mustang was done in a day.

My Hubby and I just did an engine/trans swap.. We went from a 1.5L w/Hondatragic to a 1.3L w/5spd in a 20 year old Civic at the shop.. Super easy!!!

It was his first time doing a swap like this and my first time doing an engine swap.. I have swapped a few transmissions, but never gone from auto to manual before.

Can't even tell there was an automatic in it other than the gauge cluster still having the P R OD D 2 1.......

The swap took a few days, 4 hours a day... It took us so long because we were installing all new front end bits, new heater core and generally going through the car with a fine toothed comb..

Automatic (Bad angle but you can clearly see the gear selector) Took this pick the day I got the car from our daughter.

The engines/transmissions out of the car and bathed. 1.5/auto on the left and 1.3/5spd on the right.

Oh.. we cheated a bit with our swap.. We had every tool you could imagine available to us.. Including the portable baylift..

Mid swap: All the dirt and grime was cleaned before putting it back together, including heatercore/blower/vents. You can still kinda see the automatic pedal set in there..

Standard goodness!! You can see the old 1.5 and trans through the passenger window to the right... And my nice spiffy clock and center console the car didn't come with..

Please ignore my "racing" mats.. they were cheap and made of good rubber for winter.. Oh.. What's good for nice looking adjustable pedal covers? Mine are a bit to ricetastic for me... I bought them on vacation because my foot and leg were cramping from being in the wrong position for to long... Damn JDM people are too short!

I suggest what the previous poster said.. research the swap thoroughly, gather ALL your parts and tools BEFORE you get started.. then jump right in.

The only issues I had with my swap were wiring.. I switched on the highbeams while I was installing the alarm and the combo switch fused.. much smoke followed.. so I had to swap in the steering coloumn from my 84 that had a good combo switch.. which I didn't have the key for any more so I had to swap the ignition switch.. which of course had different plugs but Identical wiring... Much soldering and heatshrink tubing followed...

Next up.. Leather Yukon Denali seats!!!
