So who's gonna win the All-motor competition? - Click HERE for Original Thread

scooby_dooby
i'm wondering who you guys think might take home the all motor competition comin up at the Import Challenge.

what kind of times are gonna win it?

which one of you has the biggest baddest all-motor beast, and what are you gonna run??

SilverZ24
I wish I could make it. :( I'm not all motor, but I was still looking forward to going and racing, but now it looks like I will be out of town. :(

Almost
what would be a competitive all motor time for local cars?

Pro Drag
I'm thinking Darkman.....

ya i think it's be a VW or beamer to take it home, my build should be able to come close to that 13.7 mark, but i don't think it'll be done in time.

darkman, you should build that b16 hard and you could knock off some real killer times.

The M3 would be the car I'd be driving if I had the cash. I fell in love with M3 when the owner of the green one had a silver one and gave me a ride.

Good luck, you will need it.

hmm i will go in aug 24th, hope to pull off 13 second times with my all motor build.

july 20th, well, it wont be broken in by then :P

v8slayer
One of those M's or maybe a Flat 6 Porche of some kind.

IH8V8S
:D Well now that the wagon is back together I'm hoping to compete! The motor seems strong from what I've been able to run of it so far. Guess we'll find out! I'm really hoping 13s are in the running but we'll see!

well it looks like there'll be some good competition anyways. I sure hope someone's built engine takes it home instead of some factory porsche or beamer,

Praylewd powr
Okay, I don't remember seeing the date for the import challenge....all motor???? I really want to take out the civic but needs slicks for me to put down a good time....just couldn't get traction at SCC. Can someone give me the details, I don't really have time to look around on the forum.

H22a civic.......time to play!

h22civic
Sunday July 20th......looks like the h22 civics are gonna rumble!! Same rules as at SCC. Probably $50.00 to race.

g356gear sedan
H22civic is gone.......long live g356gear sedan

Praylewd powr
Anyone have a line on some slicks for the civic??? I'm looking for 15's on steelies.....cheap to burn off.

let me know...

IH8V8S
:D So now that I know that the wagon is capable of running 14.2@96 with carb farts in the top of third gear I'm a little more confident in my chances for taking the all motor title! Sweeeeeetttttt! B) I guess if I get the carb farts worked out and some velocity stacks I might be able to tickle the 13s finally! For all motor with a carb I can't complain.

* Not that I could keep up with a 13.3 M3 but....... who has one of those that they're willing to beat on anyway!?!?!

I just re-read the rules on JB's All Motor class and they're not allowing 6 cylinders! It only says 4 and 5 cylinders! :D

I can only win if everyone else had the same displacement as me. I got the smallest displacement amoung all other competitors. 1.6 all the way!

;) Not this again! Your debate is as valid as counting a talon motor as an 8L by counting all the strokes it goes through on a regular cycle!

There is no debate! Rotaries just rule!

karl and i have completed the scientific study for driver corrected ET and that puts his car squarly into the 13's. we traded cars a number of times and came to the conclusion that with karl driving 14.2= 13.7 driver corrected for errors. so thats very quik for a NA 13b running in a full body, no weight reduction station wagon on street legal radial tires!!!!! way to go karl.

I ran a 14.4 on Sunday with slow launches.....could rev up a little higher. I gotta credit Karl with some pretty good passes. I was choked that the all motor class was cancelled due to only having two entries. Where were all the other AM's in Edmonton? Darkman???

Hopefully you guys make it out to the street legals this summer.

I am gonna be at the street legals on Friday.....Karl???

H22 civic........hoping for 14.2's.........time to beat the fast wagon.

:) Sweet! I think I'll be there! Might need to tow it out with the Accord but I'll be there! I'm going to try cranking up my front coil overs to get a bit of a better launch. Try to get my 60' times back to 2.0? So we'll see if I can finally break the 13s! Guess we'll see!

Krazy Karl

Hey Karl, how did you and Conroy do on the weekend? I never made it out.

4kruzn
i believe karl ran a best of 14.2 on sun and my car ran a new record for it. 13.5 with a 1.999 60' and 101 mph.....cant wait for the slicks and a 1.6 60'...ps. i picked up jacks slicks and wheels. call me, you should have bought these. oh by the way friday at street legals karl ...oooops, karls wagon "with substitute driver" ran a 14.0

fatbastard
Karl, you suck, and yes, you do drive like a girl.

:-)

Conroy, so do you. Why, I'm not sure, but listen to the fat guy.

:-)

I should build an all motor colt and see what I can do. I'd probably blow the thing up. A 225 HP 4G63T nets around a 14.0 @ 102 on street tires (and I do mean street tires, 155/80/13's). I'd figure I could build a 225 HP DOHC 4G64 easily enough.

Now I have something to think about...

4kruzn
sounds like a challenge???? maybe its time to pull out the d bridge or the periferial port?????? ya thats right, we have both....... can you emagine the pp rotory wagon at 10000rpm waiting for the light? all motor and 260+ hp. now all we would need to do is gut it and make it light. ie 1850lbs or so. hmmmmm, lets see 260hp with driver 2050lbs??? hmmmmmm

Pro Drag
Should be good for 110-115 MPH traps, E.T. will depend on how the driver's ovaries feel that day. :P

Majority of the all motors are busy in the turns rather than straights. Circuit racing is my world. B)

So we can expect you to be out in force AT EVERY EVENT if/when Bud Park's road course in complete?

Just because circuit racing is your favorite, does that mean you won't come out and flex that impressive combination you have on the 1320? I hope not. With you in the mix it would be EXCELLENT competition in ALL MOTOR, all of the cars are in the mid to low 14's before the class got scrapped due to lack of participation.

darkman
YES YES!!! Most definetely! As well as you will see the PET crew there all the time too. We can't wait till it gets built...

I don't know man. We'll see what happens the next time there is another all motor compitition. On the straights I feel rather slow compared to the others. The B16 just doesn't cut it while all the civics are H22 and B18s. But we'll see.

drastik
time for a b16B then rich :)
