February annoucement - Click HERE for Original Thread

The NASCC is holding an ice dice on Saturday, Feb 9, details on their
website www.nascc.ab.ca. It's just like a rallycross except without
all that grip stuff.

The Thunderbird rally is this weekend. If you don't already have
plans, well, it's probably too late to go, but check out
www.rallybc.com. I leave the city at 8:00 tomorrow... into the eye of
the storm, yucch.

Ice racing actually starts on Sunday, so head out to the lake and
support Mike Thorn in the awesome red #16 spec Neon (for sale BTW).
Mike Elhard is giving up the second dose of -30C for some ghawd awful
sun and beach in Bali which I'm sure makes him absolutely sick. He's
also missing out on ice racing which he's probably dreaming about
instead of half nekked beach babes. Of course, I could be wrong.

Don't forget about the February club meeting on the 13th to be held
at the club(ware)house, 6563 Gateway Blvd. We'll be meeting in front
of the bay like we used to because the mezz is rented (yea!) to a
sign maker who is more than happy to discuss making your rally car
look spectacular with custom graphics or whatever you want. The
meeting starts at 6:30 with pizza for those attending the business
portion, and at 7:30 for the BS session and left over pizza. Pop and
beer is available from the club 'fridge and you just know you'll want
an ice cold beer when it's, well, ice cold outside! Mike Thorn will
be chairing the meeting in the absence of Big Mike.

Meeting night is a great time to pay for your 2008 membership, buy a
rally calendar or ERC plate.

We have WiFi back at the 'shop, so Kelly Melvin can join the meeting
by webcam. This should give him enough warning to tidy up the
apartment a bit before we get to see his smiling face on the wee screen.

Lastly, the club jackets have started trickling in! If you ordered
one, check with Mike myanth@hotmail.com to see if yours is in the
first shipment. If you didn't order one, there were extras ordered so
now is the time. I can attest to the fact that they are really quite
warm, certainly warm enough for -30C driving. They have lots of big
pockets which is good since you'll need to carry a large stick in one
to beat back the women who will flock all over you because of the
dead sexy jacket you're wearing.
