You paid $38000 for a ralliart lancer?!!! Holy fuck did you pick the wrong car to buy. Good luck selling that. BTW you know that the potential new owner has to be able to qualify for that amount of money through Mitsubishi. You can't just assume the other guy is going to make the payments. If he doesn't make the payments you are still on the hook for them.

I'm assuming he had negative equity which he flipped into his new car.

Ok now I am confused. You want every cent you have put into this car back($8000) and you want someone to takeover the payments too?? again I am confused so what you really want is 100% return on your investment(that depreciates daily)???

So you paid $38000 for a Lancer (why, but ok) and you have already paid $8000 into your payments, fine. But now you want someone to pay you $8000 and also take over the payments ($30000 left)?
What your saying is that you want someone to pay $38000 for a used car that you paid the same price for? You do realize that when you buy a brand new car you will never sell it for how much you bought it for. What a joke.
You actually think that someone will do this, c'mon...... |
|
|
| 1uzgte |
Sure 100% of what I've payed into it at a substancial interest rate. Since having leased the car for the last two years, the value of it will have obviously depreciated. Thus having said that, the next owner will have greatly reduced monthly payments, putting a final price tag on the car of somewhere around 20k.
I hope this helps you and others understand :)
Thank you. |

from what i gather, you are leasing a lancer over a 7 year lease, you rolled over about 10000 negative equity from a trade in into ur current lease financing, you have paid 8000 so far in lease payments, the current buy out is roughly 30000 on a car that probably would be appraised at under 20000. You want someone to pay you 8000 (every dime you've spent on the car) to basically take over a 30000 dollar problem on a car worth under 20000...... or they can pay 8000 dollars and 20000 over the net 5 years to 'rent' a 20000 dollar car and have nothing to show at the end.
here is the math incase its too hard. the fact that its a lease ( i assume) is irrelivant; you are asking someone to pay $38000 dollars for a car that's market value is 20000.
you are asking someone to pay off the debt from your last car, as well as this car, and make it so that you were able to drive a brand new car over the last 2 years for free.
can you please explain how that is a good deal. |

I dont get where you are going with this??
Are you saying the total of all your payments would have totalled $38,000 with interest included? Or did you finance $38,000 at x %?
Your saying someone will have a car for around $20,000??? That means that you only have "owing"/"buy out" on the lease, is $12,000? Bringing $12,000 to take over the pmts plus the $8000 your asking to $20,000?
You are a horrible seller, you need to call mistubishi and ask for the buy out on the vehicle. Get some pictures up here cause your wasting everyones time plus your own. Everyone posting here is trying to make sense of why you/anyone would pay $38,000 for a Lancer. And it seems like you think someone on here is gonna be a really sucker and buy it off you for $38000?
If you think im being to harsh then prove me wrong, what are you trying to do here?
This is what you need to do.
1) Get some pictures of your car up here already.
2) Call whoever does your financing and ask what the "Buy out is"
3) Come back down to earth and realize you are going to most
most likely take a loss on this vehicle.
So far the only interest you have created on here is people making fun of you. So please start again and give us the full story. |

Ok guess its the long story some people still not gettin it.
I am currently leasing the car. I pay a monthly fee at 8.0%. When I signed the contract with mitsu the price tag on the car was 38000 back in 06 (I already know Im getting fucked in the ass there, so thank you everyone for explaining that).
Now onto resale, Im asking 8000 and you take over payments with a possible 0.9%. The final cost to the buyer will roughly be 20k (since the car is 2 years old and has less value)
Im running out of answers and info, if your all so concerned about it and would like the story in even more detail please email the seller at adam.hannah@hotmail.com

what i am understand , you agree the price $38000.00 for this car, even tho i agree to take over the payment and the final pirce is $20000.00. you still owe them $13000.00 are you going to pay the different you owe them ,or you assume the dealership just forget about it ?.to be honest with you , if i have $8000 downpayment, i can get a really nice car already , plus the brand new 08 lancer GTS only $28000 fully loaded.. your sale doesnt make any sence at all, i guess the best thing you do is keep making the paymen for your 8% intrest rate. $38000.00 can buy a brand new V6 accord coupe or even more different type of car |

your car does not have less value as far as your lease agreement is concerned. The car was sold to you leased at a payment derived from 38000. you have paid 8000 so there is roughly 30000 left owing on that vehicle to buy it out. If someone pays you 8000 and takes over ur payments, depreciation is not a factor. There is still 30000 owing to buy that car out. do you not understand that? do you understand that if you take out a loan and the value of the item you bought with that loan decreases, you still have to pay off the full amount of the loan?
do you also understand that if someone is going to take over your lease, you haven't provided them with an ounce of useful information; such as length of lease, time remaining, payments per month, current buyout cost, etc?
can you please explain it in English why anyone in their right mind would do this, because clearly no one understands why anyone would ever buy your car under your terms.
also, if you wonder why we are so 'concerned' its because this is the worst car deal i've personally seen in my life. |

| If you dont answer all the concerns and list out what you are paying , what is the point you post a sales here ? why don t you ask that guy to post a thread instead if you cant answer all these questions . I am sure members here are helpful , and try to help you out to sell your car, but you are not getting anything here but confusing everybody ! |

| o2thag |
| Wow, 28,500... There is no way anyone will pay you that much for a used 06 Ralliart. A brand new one doesn't even cost that much. If you are serious about selling your RA then you should minus off about 10,000 off of your asking price and then you will have a chance. If you really did pay 38K for it then you might as well keep it or expect to loose a ton of money. Good luck. |

Ive never heard anything this stupid, you've got to be kidding me. $28,000 for an 06 ralliart that had an MSRP of $26,500.
How would a RALLIART appriciate over 2 years.
Like i said before buddy, come back down to earth. That car isnt worth more than 18k if that. Especailly not with that shopping cart handle on the back. |
|

| it was probably 38k cuz he bought the dealership soup'ed up model where they charge $4k for the body kit, $2k for that hideous spoiler, another $1k for the AEM front strut bar and another $1k for the intake etc etc... :p |
