When I lived in Toronto, I went a meet and people started running their mouth because I was driving a Mustang while everyone there was basically Civics/Integras and don't really want to waste my time if I am going to run into that crap again, I just want to go out and have a good time. |

not sure what happend to the v-tec tards but for the most part we have very little problems with the police. often they will swing by west ed to see what we are doing and then leave. but if you are driving like a complete moron and there are cops, you are likely to get singled out and catch shit form them. |

In the last five years I've been going to these meets, I've never once been pulled over or given a ticket while we cruise.
Sometimes police come to see what the crowd is about, but usually they are ok with us, just curious. Half the time we are asked to leave the lot if its private property, and we do.. and cruise to another.
I've met some really cool cops actually. It seems I miss every night someone gets a ticket, but those nights are quite rare. |

I do have to agree with Dylan, I don't see how you can validly judge something you have never experienced, and really don't know much about. I bet you will have a lot of fun, get to check out nice cars, and meet some great people.
It will be quite different than this skewed image you have created in your head which is based off extremely vague internet posts.
Besides, nobody says you have to speed, do anything illegal, or even go on the cruise after the initial meet up. There are many people who hang back, drive completely lawfully, and that is respected.
Do it. There is a reason I always go back almost every week, it is a lot of fun. :D |

Chris, the reasoning behind what I say is based solely off the bad experiences I had encountered first hand. Like I said, I've only been to a few mets....and this was probably about 2-3 summers ago. I realize a lot can change since then, and probably has.
Each time I went, there were cars that would pull out of the parking lot, drop the clutch at 7,000RPM, and race away in their 92HP Civics, Neons, etc, etc.
Anyways, like I said before, I haven't been to one in ages, and things probably have changed.
Didn't mean to offend anyone here, and I'll be out at some point :P
