I suppose this is just one of the benefits of working for a franchise... is that spelled right?

Anyhoo, on wednsday afternoon Steve informed me that I was no longer to be working at his shop on 97 and 111ave, as the upper eschelon decided to move me to the midas on 97 and 130ave. It's not so bad, cept I feel as tho a piece of me was left behind... sounds kinda ghey, but still... I had a decent flo happening at that shop, and now I no longer get to do fun jobs like figure out Rally's timing problems, or dropping big cams into little integra's... At least I still have a job, but I can't help but feel lost at this shop.

When I first applied at midas, my goal was to get into steves shop so i could get experience working on the performance side of automotives. In fact, it's alway's been a dream of mine to make cars, particularly Honda's, go faster. And for 2.5 months I was actually living that dream. But now the dream has been torn from my soul, and I have no inspiriation left to pull me through the long days. It breaks my heart, in all honesty.

I really don't know what to do. The shop I'm at is alright to work in, and the guy's are both nice and knowlagable so I'll be getting good experience. But still, it feels as tho a part of me has died. It's not like I'm gonna quit, I need the job and the experience.. I feel as tho it's best not to love anything. I loved my job but then lost what it was I loved about my job. Now I dont have a job I love, I just have a job... :(

Sorry about your transfer. Everything passes in this world, so to will the way you feel now. One of the perils of working for others is that you have no true control over your fate. If this gig doesn't work out, then seek out another shop where they might appreciate your skills.

Out of bad things expect somethuing new that may be good.
