tint question - Click HERE for Original Thread

brownguy
Hey,

When an officer issues a ticket, Which section is the ticker issued under?

Thanks

Jdm300zx
If i remember right my buddy got one last fall cause of his drivers/passengers windows were tinted and the officer said it was safety issue. apparently tint causes the window to stay intact in an accident when there made to shatter. If thats the kinda answer your looking for.

There are two sections it can be issued under, one is $115 the other is $57...

I don't know the sections off hand.. if I remember correctly one is TSA the other is equipment regs

brownguy
ok, thanks for the info

What is the reason for being issued the ticket under two different sections? I understand that tint on the front two windows is illegal but it seems kind of unfair to give out two different fines for the same offense, don't you think?

Also if one is given the $115 ticket, how likely is the crown to reduce it to the $57 ticket?

You kill someone, is it fair to be charged with aggravated assault AND manslaughter? Sure.

You tinted your front windows knowing it was illegal, and then flaunted it in the face of the law by driving around. Pay the damn fines.

One section is fail to maintain equipment, the other is an actual "tint" ticket

there is the possibility the crown may reduce it.

A very high chance, in my experiences.Me and all my friends i know hav got em reduced in one visit every time, close to half the fine.

Crown FTW.
