Not sure if I read this right but I think he has taken it in for quotes for paint...don't think he has had the work done.
2000-2500 for a full paint and repairs seems low...I had mine redone and it was closer to 5k. I would try to see if anyone has had work done by the places that quoted you just so you don't put out money and end up dissappointed.
Good luck with the sale....I'm finding the market slow right now haven't had any bites on my 95 RS. |

| I got the quotes from privately owned painters/side job painters. They would receive most if not all of the payment so i would assume thats the price is pretty reasonable. Also keep in mind that for those quotes, they agreed to do the majority of the body work, and then primer and a quick respray of single stage paint. It wont be OEM perfect or show car material, but something thats better appealing to the eye with the possibility of some imperfections. |
