I don't know if this is a stupid question, but couldn't you just park with one (or two) wheels resting on a 2x4? Would that give you enough clearance for a regular jack?

I can even sell you some 2x4s for cheaper than a low profile jack. Say...$50 for 2 pieces of wood?

AIP i daresay that response was better than somethign you coulda said :p

ChromeDragon
If your car is seriously lowered a lot of the low profile jacks aren't even low enough. In this case the 2x4 thing is not only cheapest, but really is the only option.

How about I rip your fucking arms and legs off, beat your parents to death with them, and then use your dead family members are ramps to drive my car up on? Then I'll use your fucking skull as a jack-base.

Just kidding. I love you.

wow audiinprogress, you're really fucked up aren't you, ill just check costco and princess auto tomorrow, and put in 2x4's

SilverNeonRacer
Or use 2x8's they're wider obviously and thus give you more stability under your tire.

I have a small penis, therefore I feel the need to try make up for it, by acting tough all of the time.

You know what? I'm so fired up right now... I'll go outside and melt down my fucking second car... I'll turn it into fair-sized "steelie" marbles... And I'll insert 2800lbs worth of them into your rectum. Then we'll walk to the nearby hospital, and have you put inside a MRI machine, and when that giant magnet turns on... It'll rip you a new one, or twelve-hundred new ones.

LMFAO, I had to go back to the begining post to figure out what this was about again. lol

snap-on has a jack that at the lift point is 3.5 inches when down.

napa sells one too about the same.

both are aluminum light weight
and a few hundread dollars

at work we have had to use 2x10's + low profile jack, to get hoist arms under a few cars

AudiInProgress
Well I mean... The guys question was already answered. So I figured there was no harm in taking the thread a weeeeeeeee bit off topic.
