Since its almost spring, I'm putting my 91 Toyota MR2 Turbo up for sale.
Vehicle Details:
Year : 1991
Make and Model : Toyota MR2 Turbo

Odometer Reading : 105000 KMS.. CANADIAN CAR

Modifications:
- Suspension completely redone in last 3000 kms:
- H&R coilovers
- Prothane Urethane Bushings
- TRD front and rear sway bars
- TRD Front strut bar
- New Ball joints and Tie rod ends
- SSR type C 16” rims (~12lbs each)
- Hankook R-s2 tires: 225/45 up front and 245/45 in the rear
- 3” Cat back TKO exhaust
- Air to Water intercooler with ST205 core (I stll have the original sidemount if you want me to replace it)
- K&N intake
- MBC set to 14psi
- Polyurathane engine mount inserts
- Boost gauge
- Short throw shifter
- Stainless steel brake lines
Repairs:
- Timing belt, other belts, water pump and housing all replaced within last 12000kms
- Coolant and thermostat replaced last year
- Had no problems with the car since I bought it, only preventative maintenance performed.
The bad:
- The car has the original paint job from 1991, since in 91 and 92 Toyota didn't put a clear coat on non metallic colours the paint is badly oxidized. Also I got the fenders rolled last year to make sure the new wheels and tires wouldn't rub, so the paint is starting to flake on the wheel wells. I had the intention of painting the car this spring, but I decided to get a bike instead.
Reason for selling:
- I really would like to keep the car, but I want to buy a bike this spring and it doesn't make sense to own two vehicles that can only be driven in the summer while living Edmonton.

interesting to know about that clear coat during those years, i bought a 92 celica last year on this site, its red and was totally oxidized, i spent 12-14 hrs though using meguires cutter wax, swirl removal, then wax to restore the red, so it is possible to have it look good again.. |

It has air conditioning, and it has the stock downpipe, which houses the primary catalytic converter.
I might be wrong but this is what I remember: stock USDM MR2s have 2 catalytic converters. There is a primary cat in the down pipe and a secondary cat in the in the b pipe.
The 3" TKO cat back exhaust replaces the b pipe, and removes the secondary cat, but the primary cat is still in place.
I also have the TKO exhaust with 7" mufflers. I bought it because it was at the time the quietest best performing exhaust on the market. The website is here. |

yeah im familiar with the tko system.. im just trying to decide whether or not i would be able to register the car in BC as they have stricter exhaust regulations. Thanks for the info! Im interested but i cant tell you anything for sure yet. :thumbup:
*edit.. Would you be willing to sell for cheaper and leave the rims out of the sale? |

I'd consider it. PM or e-mail me and offer of what you think is reasonable without the rims and I'll think about it.
The only thing is I use the stock rims and tires to store the car during the winter and those tires are bald, have uneven wear, and flat spots. So it would need new tires if you didn't want the SSRs and Hankooks.
