harassment - Click HERE for Original Thread

I was working the car show this past weekend and I'm guessing I handed out my buissiness card to the wrong person. Probably a salesman for the company that keeps calling me.

Anyways, I have recieved 15 calls in the last 8 hours from this company on my cell phone, and my wife has claimed that the number has called her more than a few times. The person on the other end of the phone is very rude and has been condecending to my wife and myself on the odd times we have answered the phone.

My wife got the number blocked through Shaw, but Bell Mobility won't block the number. They claim they cannot block a single number, I gotta block either all incoming calls or no calls. Which is BS.

Do I have any legal rights with Bell or this guy, even if I asked the people to stop calling, even asking him to stop or I'll file harassment chargers.

BLOCKER
Next time you speak with the person, tell him to stop calling... (do not return calls, do not engage in converstation) tell him that if it continues will make a complaint to the police, then hang up.

From there on (and including previous) record all interactions and course of action taken...

If it persists, take all the information to your nearest police station and file a complaint.

Unfortunately you don't have a lot you can do if bell refuses to block the number.

hope this helps

BLOCKER
It's all good, thanks

thanks man!

I ment to come by and say hi at the car show, but was too busy maning the VW booth.

Anyways, Bell can't block the number due to a software issue in their network. I finally got a hold of a manager.... So thats why.

The calls stopped once the day ended... I'm trying to see if I can block the number on my phone in general... maybe setup an auto-call forward to his own number! That would be fun.

Sorry,

I will stop calling. I was just looking for some friends. I thought we could like go out to the mall and like rock and ride like ya! :dunno:

Blocker has it right.

Or, you could always call the HO of the company, or find out who that supervisor is from that co.

Do they even do Rock and Ride anymore? That was so mid/late 90's.

I actually figured out what I can do! I loaded the number into the address book of my phone and auto-call forwarded it to itself! :blue:

I thought they were still doing rock and ride as of a few years ago. But since I am not 14 I have no idea.

Good idea on the forwarding idea. I did not know you could do that on the phone.

Whenever I get a number I don't want to hear from I set the custom ringer for that number to silent, and then I don't have to hear from it.

As Blocker states, there really isn't much that can be done. Which is what I'm sure Bell tells you too.

flatboy
post the number up here and we'll phone the piss outa it steady.
