Hey, I'm trying to build the website for my old man's business with Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and it's a huge pain in the ass. I'm decent with computers but this thing is a cantankerous bitch for what I need. I also tried Webeasy Pro 6 and it is too dumbed down, either you use their shitty looking templates or nothing at all. It also doesn't display right if you don't use their native resolution when I built up a simple page (it's pretty much useless).
All I want is some simple software that can make a page look professional and clean. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |

| I built my first couple of sites using strictly Adobe Photoshop and Imageready. Give it a shot if you have them! |

Thanks.
I have Photoshop CS3 but I haven't fooled around with it. If it's easier than Dreamweaver I'll give it a shot.
Template Monster is sweet, but I just need some decent software to modify them on. |

Notepad ftw :P
heh.
I guess it depends do you want a wysiwyg editor or a code based editor?
Mozilla has a composer element which works decently... I've used dreamweaver.. but frankly I use it in code view... so other than code checking.. I see no point.... I've gone back to notepad again :P
what ever you do.. even though front page maybe easy.. stay away... a client did a website with I think 7 pages a couple pics etc... front page turned it into over 350 files... by re-doing it in notepad and photoshop to edit the pics I had it down to 33files. |
