Murder Reenactment - Click HERE for Original Thread

blondy
Shernell Sharon Pierre at the very least deserved dignity

Wednesday night her already murdered body was set aflame in her car on the corner of 170st and 87ave in the West end

The car was already on fire when I came upon the scene...no one much around other than those already calling 911

A reenactment will be set up there between 10pm and midnight tonight....it's a very well used road....busy....someone maybe saw something...tell the police 423-4567

my mom gave me a call and told me she worked with her. she said she didnt seem like that type of girl, thats really tobad.

AudiInProgress
WTF!?

I bet blondy had something to do with it.

newaccorddriver
so their burning another corolla for the sake of asking for information?

cupcake
In hopes of triggering people's memories just because the fire damaged a lot of the evidence.

This is just weird. I thought it was going to be a drug deal gone wrong or something.

arabian_ryda
i drove by there at 11pm and thought it was a checkstop lool. cop asked me if i had been down that road 2 days earlier and they had a silver corolla parked in the same place of the scene of the crime. 6 cops on each side it was pretty entense. all undercover detectives

No they didn't burn the car...just had an exact make & model in the hopes of triggering someone's memory as cupcake said.

Yah as soon as we heard about the body we thought "gang" related..."drug" related....not sure what related this one is going to be....ex-boyfriend ??? Association ???

Yes, they also put another person in their to burn, just in case that triggers someones memory.

i hope its the guy standing on the median with the sign

blondy
This is just getting more bizarre.....

A white van belonging to a person of "interest" was hauled in on the weekend...and now released...her purse was found with nothing removed 2 days later in a bush down the road...within half an hour of her leaving work...shot...murdered...set aflame

AudiInProgress
I'm so confused... WTF is going on.

GOT BOOST
Always sad to hear.

I am confused as to the police setting up a checkstop. People are usually shitting bricks when they go through one. I doubt having a car on the side in an already stressfull situation would be of help. I would he suprised if many people noticed the corolla. They are more concerned finding their licence/registration, and paying attention to where the officers with the flashlights are going to direct them next.

Um...there was no checkstop....arabian_ryda used that word...but I didn't :)

It was a reenactment only...

They were stopping people asking if they had seen the car that they had parked on the side of the road...handing out brochures with information...hoping to trigger people's memories...hoping to get any type of clues

It wasn't about the driver's Friday night it was all about Shernell and hoping to find who murdered her

Negative. According to the article in the journal that you linked.

" Edmonton police will set up a checkstop at the location this evening. A vehicle similar to the 2003 Corolla will be there, in the hopes it may trigger someone's memory."

Touche :)

I use that road often and went thru the "checkstop" was not asked for anything from myself...was asked about the car...the night in question...did I notice anyone on the road the night of the murder and given a brochure

They were stopping cars on both sides of the road...if you read what arabian_ryda posted...he too was asked about the scene of the crime

Am not arguing with you

No worries. :D

It seems that the term checkstop is loosely used. :D When I think of checkstop I think of many police cars funneling people into one lane, waving around flashlights and randomly pulling over people. :D

I did not read arabian_ryda’s post. I try to ignore him. :stickpoke

It is a good idea then to try and have some sort of memory recall via this means. However I suspect that 99% of people could not tell a 1993 Toyota Corolla from a Civic or a neon. :D
