The mule will be out there. I keep telling myself I won't abuse err.. I mean RACE it until it gets a rebuilt transmission (second gear synchro's are shot), but my willpower fly's out the window once I roll up to the booth and they ask "are you racing?". Out come's the $20.

Car Stuff Basics:
Battery Tiedown
Car won't start in gear
Master Cutoff switch if battery relocated
No major fluid leaks

Driver Stuff:
No shorts allowed, must wear pants
Helmet, they are pretty lax on friday nights, should be a Snell 2000
Driver's licence obviously.

Taken from the IHRA website:

Helmets (All Classes)

(Effective: July 15, 2002) Change all references of SN-85 to SN-90 in all classes of the 2002 IHRA Rulebook. SN-85 helmets prohibited.

(Effective: July 15, 2002) All Professional Entries must utilize a SN–95 or newer helmet.
