alright 99.9% sure my boss is being nice and letting me have the 3 days off work thurs, fri, sat, and trying to make sure i can leave early on wed to meet i guys in stony as i get off at 6
are we stopping in kamloops?? or where, has that been discussed yet?
cus last time we did the drive we went thru jasper,
left edmonton at 8pm or later, and hit heavy fog after jasper all the way to kamloops and had to go slow the entire way, and got to kamloops by 430am i think
going to be taking the chaser,
and when everyone is at rocket rally anyone up for headding up to whistler for the day??
where are we staying??
even stay thursday night in whistler, and go to van for friday and saturday night??
anyone down for that? |

I think the idea for stops was going to be, go until the first person needs gas, etc... then plan stops according to that since it will vary alot..
Im going to be staying elsewhere... I think everyone is staying in vancouver..
I may stay one of the days in van with you guys but most of the time ill be stealing rooms at friends places I think. |

I think we're going to take it as it goes shawn.... I dont mind the whistler idea, but as for driving.... as Cody said, we're gunna drive till we're tired.
People have tuning appt's at 10am in Van, so we're going to have to book it as far as we can the first night. |

Here is my route suggestion... now this is just a list of stops... I dont know everyones gas mileage but this is the basics... Personally when ive gone in the past, I do... Valemont and Merrit as my 2 gas stops.
280KM = Hinton
350KM = Jasper
460KM = Valemont
550KM = Blue River
650KM = Clear Water
780KM = Kamloops
880KM = Merrit
1000KM = Hope
1040KM = Chilliwack
1050KM = Abbotsford
Our first stop should either be
Hinton, which is about 270-290KMs... kinda close.. but we may have an RX7 with us so it may be needed.
My suggestion for a stop is in Jasper, its about 350kms or so... someone will be getting low on fuel by then
The next gas stop after Jasper is about 110-120kms away... around the 460kms mark
460kms = Valemont
543kms = Blue River
590kms = Avola
Next major stop ios clearwater at about 650kms about the halfway mark
Barriere @ 730kms
Kamloops is at about 780k, I would assume we would stop here for food and gas for sure.
At this point we have 2 directions we can go...
highway 5 is probably better... highway 1 is outta the way
Merrit is at about 880kms
Hope is at about 1000kms
chilliwack is at about 1040kms or so...abbotsford is at about 1060 or so... and I will be departing here.
Surrey is about 1090 or so...
Once you hit surrey you are basically in the GVRD and everyone can make their exits from there...
For Joey I would suggest taking highway 99 to richmond |

OOH thats what i forgot to post...
My suggestions as for what to bring and shit on the trip...
At least 1 person with a full tool kit... preferably more then one. I will have a toolkit with everything in it. Mostly metric though.
I will also have a scissor jack and a full size jack.
I suggest EVERYONE brings a full size spare tire... TRY to avoid bringing a donut as if we are 100km from the closest big town it could be a problem.
Bring a few bottles of water or a jug of premix / coolant
and we should write a list of phone numbers, etc.. and disperse it to everyone... |

Yeah.. Its just because there is soo many cars... If it was just me I wouldnt bring tons of that stuff... but more people = more problems and with 100-300km between a decent sized town its worth it. |
