FS/FT(MB): 2004 WRX STi - $29K OBO - Click HERE for Original Thread

Clypher
Ok first off, please read ALL the posts/edits in case I changed or forgot to mention something.

FS/FT: Java Black Pearl '04 STi

My reasons for selling are purely financial. I love this car, it’s the most fun car I’ve ever driven. If I had the money to keep it, I would. But I can’t possibly keep this car and hope to head to university come fall.

TRADES:
I will entertain a variety of trade offers, but it must meet the following criteria:
· Must be a car. 2 door, 4 door, hatchback, as long as it’s a car.
· Reliable
· Good gas mileage
· Valued less than my Sti. I’m looking for something around $10-12K, but would go over that limit for a newer Civic or Mazda 3 Sport.
I will more than likely turn down all domestics unless it’s a really good deal on my part. I haven’t had any good experiences with the lower tiered domestics. It doesn’t hurt to try an offer however.

THE GOOD:
Current Mods:
Engine/Intake
· APS 70mm CAI
· Perrin Crank Pulley
Turbocharger/Induction
· FP20G Turbo
· Ebay TMIC
· Tial 38mm EWG
· GReddy Profec B Spec II Boost Controller
· APS Inlet Tube
Exhaust
· APS 3" TBE (catless)
· Ultimate Performance Uppipe
ECU Tuning/Fuel
· Cobb AP
· Walbro Pump
· SMC Meth Injection Kit (70% meth, 30% distilled water)
· PE850cc Injectors
Drivetrain
· Exedy Stage 2 Clutch
· Factorty Short Shift Assembly
Suspension/Handling/Braking
· Bilstein PSS-9 Coilovers
· Cusco H Bar
· Cobb Sway Bars
· Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings
· STi Replica Strut Bars
Electronics/Interior
· DEFI Boost & EGT gauges on A-pillar
· Boston Z6 comps
· Alpine CDA-9847 head unit
Exterior
· 20% All around
· Stock BBS wheels painted black
Wheels/Tires
· Stock BBS painted black
· Blizzak LM-25s
· Stock potenzas for summer

I also have a large supply of meth (not mixed yet) that will come with it. It should last you 6 months or so, after that you can get it at Canadian tire. Also, I have quite a few miscellaneous stock parts that will come with it too.

All the mods have about 12K miles on them.

This car pulls HARD. It puts out approximately 370whp depending on the dyno. It’s well within the safe limits of the stock engine. Steering response is excellent. Brembo's stop on a dime. The car has been well taken care of and the mods were chosen with Doug from topspeed’s advice and professionally installed. The mod list may look long, but it includes every little part that’s been changed. It runs and drives like stock, and it actually rides smoother than the stock Stis I’ve been in.

It currently has 2 10 inch subs and a big 5 channel amp in as well. The current price does not include this as I would prefer to keep them for my next car, however it can be negotiated with the sale if desired.

The car is driven responsibly. It has been dragged a few times, but other than that it’s been babied. No donuts, no burnouts, no street racing. It has a clean carfax showing no accidents. It spends most of its time currently garaged. I drive it to work and back occasionally, but not more than once every two weeks. I prefer to stick with my beater for now.

THE BAD:
Car has 3 door dings and a minor dent in the hood. Also on small scratch on rear bumper and a small chip on the base of the wing. These dents could easily be fixed by paintless dent removal.
The car has just under 62K miles. These are mostly highway, and I assure you it drives like a car with less than half the miles. The driver seat shows a bit of wear and the reclining lever is cracked. As you see, all problems are purely cosmetic, and if you see the car you'll see they are very minor. It is flawless mechanically/functionally.

PICTURES:

VIDEOS:
I have a few videos on my computer that were taken by the previous owner. I can find a way to host them. If you’re interested in viewing them (If you’re interested in the car that is), let me know.

ASKING PRICE: $26,500

My garage is full, I keep mine in my bat cave.

jonnyboi
the guy is obviously aware of this, no need to be pricks. If he finds an interested buyer in edmonton then they will obviously find a way to get the car back here.

sorry guy, i was actually asking out of interest, especially he's willing to do for trade, doesn't the offer sound really attractive?

They were actually silver to start, the previous owner did it. I wasn't too sure about it either until I saw it in person. It looks downright mean.

Thanks:thumbup:

Clypher
Bump, getting lots of trade offers. Keep em coming.

dance_of_curse
car is from usa no?

Clypher
Yep, US car.

supeg
Did you do the mods, or previous owner?

If it was run at track, what times were you getting?

Hahaha... I guess I didn't proofread enough.

Thanks.

im just surprised that with all the people on this site who seem to pick apart every thread to find something to flame about no one noticed that :p

Bump for a nicely modded and priced STI

You should change this however

"The car is driven responsibly. It has been dragged a few times, but other than that its been babied. No donuts, no burnouts, no street racing."

Since you bought the car with it modded, you have no clue if the previous owner babied it, bagged it or raced it at all.

Maybe change it to "I have owned it since (whatever miles) and have babied it"

Just looking out, most people that read that and find out you bought it modded, would take it as a deal breaker no matter the price, I know I would.

Ha, Ha, Ha. I cant remember where my batcave entrance is!! Nice car, I will be in the market for an 04/05 STI around August after some extra cash frees up, too bad though, I do dig this car alot!

Clypher
Who knows, maybe I'll still have it in August.

Clypher
I will be gone on vacation starting tomorrow, I’ll be back next week on April 4th. I’ll have internet access while I’m gone, but I won’t be able to check very frequently so don’t be alarmed if I don’t respond to your PM right away.

In the meantime, here’s an updated lists of cars that spark my interest for trade offers:
-RSX Type S
-Celica GTS
-G35 coupe
-Mazda 3 Sport GT
-Almost any Civic, but MUST have A/C and preferably power windows/locks. Less mods the better on a civic, to me.
-Accords

Once again, if you have an offer it doesn’t hurt to send it, but these lists give you a good inidication. Keep in mind when I am thinking a trade deal it would not mean my car straight up for yours, unless they are indeed of equal value.

I would be tempted to take a 5.0 ~90 mustang if the right amount of cash was put on top of it as well.

Clypher
I'm back.

I'll also consider a 350z or RX-8 for a trade.

Clypher
You can add a BMW 3 series to the "will consider" list.

Clypher
TTT

Clypher
Will also consider an A4 or similar.

ZEguy
WHY those cars in trade, your car is nicer than ALL of those you names you listed....:dunno:

Damn man makes me wish i had a shitty Celica GTS or something right about now, id hit you up ASAP.

Anyways good luck with your trade.

Because I neeeeed to lower my debt. I want to go to university this fall. I know, it's an amazing car, but I could pay down my loan significantly if I traded it for a cheaper car.

Thanks, it is a very well modified car, very well thought out and they all compliment each other very nicely. Everyone that has driven a 20G turboed STi has loved it, spools super fast but has amazing power.

PM sent!

Clypher
Ok here's the scoop...

If I sell this car by May 6, I get the PST I paid on it back from the government. I just handed in my notice at my job, I'm officially going to school this fall. Needless to say I'm very motivated to move this car.

Send some offers my way

Clypher
That's right, the price has been lowered.

This price is only going to last until May 6 due to the tax rebate I mentioned in my previous post. Once I miss that deadline, I really only have to sell the car by the time school starts, depending on how far ahead I get on my loan payments.

Jump on it while you have the chance!
