how do i reset the ecu

Anonymoose
Usually disconnecting the battery does it.

Or opening up the fuse box inside of the engine and pulling the ECU fuse for a minute. Make sure your engine has warmed up to operating temperatures, when the radiator fan comes on first. Reinstall the fuse, start car and DO NOT touch the gas pedal. The ECU is writing your fuel maps, etc. This method will not erase your stereo/clock settings.

Why do you need to reset your ECU?

actually all you have to do is go into the fuse box under the hood and pull your hazard fuse (you need power to the ecu to wipe the old settings) after about 5 min put your hazard fuse back in and start the car.
