Anyone here good at installing stereos? - Click HERE for Original Thread

EK9Hatch
I have a quick question that I was hoping someone could help me out with.

I just bought a 6 pack CD Changer in my Benz (OEM Mercedes unit) and now need to install it. It connects via the head unit and NOTHING has to be tempered with or modified for it to work (its just plug and play) I also have the one required cord to run the disc changer to the head unit...it just plugs right in.

The thing is, I'm not really good at pulling apart interior pieces (mainly don't have the patience and end up breaking clips)

So I was wondering if anyone on here with EXPERIENCE would be willing to help me out. I could give you a bit of cash or beer, etc for your time.

I do have the know how, but I would rather have someone with more stereo experience do it for me. Let me know if you could help out. Thanks

I bet you would. lol

Even if I could find some good diagrams I think I would be ok...but like I said, I lack patience when it comes to stuff like this.

Its a super simple job, I just need someone to get to the back of the head unit for me....without breaking anything :p

is this for your compressor, cause if so its easy to pop the deck out. I could do it for you at my shop if you wanna set up a time to do it.

Yes, its for my Kompressor. Would you be able to explain how to get the head unit out? What do I have to remove?

Thanks

I finished this project today.

I was SUPER pissed though...I got everything ripped apart and hooked up the power/ground to the CD Changer...to much utter fucking surprise, the CD Magazine was jammed in the changer and would not release.

I bought this off eBay and it was supposed to be in "Excellent working condition"

After about an hour of completely disassembling the Changer, I managed to unjam the unit, and pull out 4 CD's that were jammed in there (Having Cd's still in the unit when I bought it is a definite sign that it was in fact broken when the douchebag sold it to me)

I put everything back together, and it is now working perfectly :)

Haha yes! I am good with electronics and such, but I don't have the patience for taking apart interior pieces. If it doesn't come loose, I usually get pissed and want to rip the fucking thing apart lol

Trevor - I emailed him and got no reply so far. This is the thing I hate about eBay...if I leave this douchebag Negative feedback (which he deserves) then the fuck can just do the same for me...with out a valid reason. So I'm not sure what to do yet. I'm waiting for his reply.

Jamie
