so i was travelling to st albert today and as i reach an intersection the light turned yellow and there was no way i could stop so i went through it going about 60 and a car that was turning left clipped my front end and i ended up spinning and my car jumped the curb and the rear end hit a tree. the other driver got a ticket for unsafe left turn. So my question is whose fault is it? i am pretty sure it would be her fault, because as far as i know when turning left you have to yield and make sure it the intersection is clear before you go even if your light is red sometimes. She did not have any prompts to turn and the light would have been yellow as well. also i did not recieve any tickets if that helps... any help is apreciated thanks.

Other person is at fault 100%. Wouldn't worry about it; it is cut and dry. Hope your not too badly injured.

It's the lights that make it iffy, chances are the other person will be at fault, if the light was green that would be the case.. I guess it depends on the police reports... hard to say right now..

What intersection was this at. Some of them have cameras mounted up high. You might be able to get the footage pulled from them.
If she turned on the yellow she is at fault for not making a a safe left hand turn.
Hopefully you got witnesses as she might try to pin this on you. If you have the footage from the camera's then you are alright. :D
