Selling my wife's neon. Car has been sitting for about 5 years, started once or twice a year to move it around or just to run.
Car has 45k miles on it (she is American). The car has bad paint, the paint is gone off the roof and surface rust has started.
The car has never been registered in Canada, still has Nevada plates on it. She basically drove it up here and it has sat ever since.
Before I parked it I had put new tires, front rotors and pads on it but the rotors are now fairly rusty and would need to be replaced.
Might be a good car for an ice racer or for someone to import and enjoy.
Power locks, manual windows, tilt, a/c (not sure if this still has a charge), automatic transmission.
Here is a pic of the car 5 years ago. It now has the stock steel wheels on it and white hub caps. The roof also has the mentioned surface rust.

She is listing it for $2k but is flexible on the price. Buyer is responsible for importing it. |

First and last bump
Am I asking too much? It only has 45k miles on it :dunno: |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can import a car from the States after it's already in Canada. You have to send it back to the States, and then start the process there.
The US Customs Agency needs to verify that the car is not stolen BEFORE it leaves the States. You have to give them 72 hours notice BEFORE you present the car to them at the border.
I don't think anybody could register the car here, except maybe your wife, since she owned it in the States and has now moved to Canada. It's part of her possessions that she moved up with. |

You could be right, never looked into importing it. We have a small fleet of cars and trucks around our house.
It could be used as an ice racer or stripped auto x car? If it doesn't sell it's no big deal. I could probabaly part it out for what it is worth. |

i think he's right...
btw i'm looking for a race car nudge... nudge... i wont spend alot (because it's going to be a race car, i would have to do a 5sp swap, and it looks like it's a 4 lug that would eed to be updated for racing) but if you need to get rid of it |

It has 5 lug wheels.
I don't NEED to get rid of it, so if I can't get $1500 for it I will probably put it on the road myself as a winter beater. |

that might be the best option...
even in that case you can sell it after it's been a winter beater but it has passed inspection etc. already
afterall the car is worth more than $1500
btw, i didn't mean to offend you or anything i just thought if you needed it off your hands i could provide that service |

| You didn't insult me, the guy that offered me $300 through a PM and said he can pick it up Wednesday was a bit annoying though. |
