Where to get a battery to fit... - Click HERE for Original Thread

shortie
My battery is dead... but I have no idea where to actually get one the same size as the little japanese one in there, and there definitely is not much room to fit one of the 'normal' sized ones you can buy here in Canada.... sooo what do you do? or is there somewhere to get wee bitty batteries like these? I have heard some people re-wire the battery and put it in the back, but that seems like a bitch.

as you can see from the pic below - no room for the type you would put into cars here....

measure your battery and take the dimensions to a parts store. they should be able to get you one. be sure to tell them post location and the cca.

oem 96-00 civic battery is that size.

I hear London Drugs and most other stores carry some good 9V batteries that might do you well?

Nah, but in all seriousness, Im pretty sure NAPA carries batteries that small. Or Parts Source. Id try Parts Source first, like on 170th.

I might have a stock 99-00 civic battery hanging around.. I replaced the battery from my 00 civic in 04 with a new one.. It was running strong.. $40 if you're interested. PM ME. It's that size.

civic battery is too tall and is very very close to the hood in that spot, pick up a miata battery from mazda, or a buddyclub battery.

Why though, is it a voltage issue. Im cruious about this, as to why JDM connectors are not good for USDM terminals.

Jayturbo
usdm posts>jdm posts

usdm is a larger diameter post.
