Four wheel performance about 8 blocks West of Westmount shopping center is supposed to have it for like $6.50 a pound, but they were always out last summer.

Mopac and JB's should offer Vaseline with their fillups, they're $7.50/lb or some shit like that. In the US I filled a 15lb bottle for $45, up here it is well over $100.

I backed off to a 75 shot because the 125 was costing a fortune

Sounds about right for Edmonton. It's the greatest, cleanest, well maintained, entertaining scenic city in the world. It only makes sense they over charge for everything possible.

Did that shine through in my post? Geez I try to conceal my feelings too..

Glad someone made this thread though. I've been wondering where to go too. I just assumed I'd be gettin butt fucked on the pricing though where ever I went.

someguyincanada
my first question is why do you need it? are you running your dd at the track? its illegal...... but what do i know.... remember that car from fast and furious that blew up.... its your funeral....

2ndgenlude
nitrous is fine if its done right with something like a 50shot and proper plugs. healthy engine helps too.

Your an idiot. There's nothing wrong with Nitrous. It's just like a turbo or supercharger. You have to do it right.

If you think you can go buy a $300 kit, slap it on in an hour and spray like crazy then yea your gonna have problems. But the bigger problem you have isn't blowing your motor, it's lack of brain cells.

Jayturbo
If you can't spell it right, i doubt you should be using it period. bwahahahahaha

Your smarter than me cause you bought a 92 Geo Metro?

Chalk that one up as the worste come back I've ever heard. Not to mention not even slightly related.

Martin at AFI has a tank and filler, not sure if it is shop or personal use only, might want to send him a PM?

Rebound
"amateurs don't use nitros oxide, I've seen the way you drive, you've got a heavy foot. You'll blow yourself to pieces..."

Prudz_lude
it will be going into a fully built h22 if i choose to. Just making sure there are a few places to fill up, not just some monopoly of nitrous. A direct port kit would be installed so that it sprays evenly. I don't intend to cut corners.

Also, when i choose to spray is up to me. I am well aware it is illegal. That doesn't mean i can't have it hooked up in my car while i drive around in the city. The nitrous just needs to be disconnected while driving for it to be legal.

darkjedi
I need NOS - two of the big bottles.

raceready68
JBS does shit fills for a really high price. 4wheel parts is cheeper and does proper fills.

Martin does not have a filler station and his nitrous is for personal use.

firestarter
North american diesel performance has it too!, well they did when I worked there!!

My brother inlaw is a partner in AIS a welding supply store. I've asked him to look into getting a station set up, so there will be another option in the city. It would be on the far east in the city just offa 17st. and I'll let your guys know what pans out.

shayne

Icipher
WTF is all this "nos is illegal" bullshit?

You can use it at the track all day... You have to shut your tanks off for driving in the city. But that doesn't mean it's 100% illegal. You can own it, install it, having it in your car 24/7...

It's just illegal depending where you plan to use it. Street racer.

AuZZZie
Someone also said you had to have the line disconnected. That's BS.

You just can't have the bottle open.

If you have an electric bottle opener it has to be disconnected.:(

You think cops will check your bottle? "Ohh i see your running an electric bottle opener"..

But thanks I didn't know that..

Psi
NADP also has it.
Not sure about a price.

Prudz_lude
Thanks guys, i'll be calling every place you guys suggested to find out who has the best price. I will post every stores prices after so it saves everyone the hassle of calling. I'll be calling for a 10lb bottle, anybody else have a size they want me to call about? Also, does jb's carry nitrous switches?

LeadSled
It's the same price no matter how big the bottles are. Mopac has the best selection for switches and whatnot, and good prices. But if you are looking for a clean installation, look at the Dynotune Nitrous Switch Center that mounts in a standard gauge hole. I control my heater, opener, arm and purge from one area and it looks great.

And +1 That JB's does shit fills. At least on the west end. Mopac has been the best to me, but I really want to get a fill from Four Wheel Performance. NADP's prices are insane, I doubt I will ever go there.

with those switch guages does that make it so you would technically be able to shut everything down in the case of a pull over and avoid a ticket?

Not really. All it is, is a switch panel to trigger the relays for your bottle opener, warmer, activation, purge.

Prudz_lude
convience of not having to pop your trunk and turn the nozzle, Reach to your console and flip a switch, turn your bottle warmer on, and press your purge switch?

Personally spending 180 dollars for something that requires simply opening your trunk and having 2 switches that cost at most 20 dollars each is not worth it. But that is just me.

Thanks for the info though. They seem neat but not something for me.

LeadSled
I like it because it reduces clutter in the cab and you can tell at a glance what is happening from the LED lights. I used to have the multiple switches for the opener, arm, heater and purge... it looked gaudy with all the little fighter pilot style switch guards and was confusing if you were trying to focus on other things. $180 is cheap insurance in my books when you're playing with a 125 shot. Like the internet, nitrous is serious business.

But if you buy anything from Dynotune, get their automatic bottle warmer. You set it and forget it, and it keeps very steady pressure. Plus it's pretty inexpensive.

Not exaclty set and forget. Don't want to have that thing on unless the bottle is open.

flatboy
I got so much stuff happening inside that when I saw it was the whole set up, and I don't gotta drill more switch holes and crap I figured it'd be a clean set up.

shayne

Prudz_lude
only reason i wont is because there are two pop out switch inserts on my center console that are beside the heated seat switches and hidden by the arm rest. You won't be able to see them at all

AuZZZie
WTF is wrong with this city.

NADP. $8.00/lbs

They don't do fills for the public. I'm calling around. Might just buy my own fill station.

Speaking to the guy at Mopac prices went up 3 years ago.. So everyone raised their prices. Then the price of nitrous went back to normal but none of the shops lowered the pricing. So there making a killing on the shit.

I think it's time to book in with my dentist for a teeth cleaning.. I'll swipe their bottle on the way out.

Graphicdude
Haha! That I would love to see! Give your dentist a right hook, rip the bottle from the floor and b-line it to the door, tackling everyone in site.
