Last fall I had put in some new shocks because they needed to be replaced, and now I need to do my springs.
I'm stuck between a few different brands, and I'm curious what you think would be the best.
I'm looking at Steeda Sport springs, Ford Racing springs, Eibach Pro Kit, H&R Super Sport springs or H&R Race springs.
The Ford Racing springs are the cheapest, and the others are very close in price. What would you guys recommend out of those? |

Do you plan on keeping the stock shocks? If so, I would probably recommend the Eibach. Very good quality.

| I'm keeping the ones I put in, and they aren't very much for performance (just monroe matics). I was thinking about going with the eibach because they lower a nice amount. |

I know a lot of after market springs combined with stock shocks will blow them very quickly. But I personally didn't have issues when I was using Eibach Sportline springs with my stock struts.

| I didn't know eibach made leaf springs... bwahahahahahahaha |

| Yeah ... maybe I should see about them for my Fiat.. funny enough, my mustang wouldn't need any leaf springs if eibach did make them. ;) |

go for Eibach. Great quality. Never had any problem with it.

Eibach make some nice springs. The variable rate coil offers a nice balance between ride and handling. I would srongly suggest new shocks along with the springs though. OE shocks can make the car feel "bouncy" and upset. Stock damper valving really isn't up to the job for increased spring rates.
Also look at Steeda, Saleen and other mustang-specific sources. They have packages for the SN-95 Mustang that take out all the guesswork. |

Before upgrading to coilovers I had Eibachs on stock shocks.
Really good setup, never had a problem and rode awesome. |

| Thanks guys. I'm going to see about price on Eibach springs, as well as Steeda in a week. |

H&R springs arent the greatest. The start to sag over time and eventual it feels like you are riding on a 2x4. |

Riding on a 2x4...our Neon exactly. It's a '96 with 160k and original springs. It's almost unbearable. |

| If you're buying the springs through somewhere else, then there shouldn't be any charge.. if there is it'll be very nominal.. Check the PM I sent you to explain the pricing if you want to order through the school.. |

i put the FRPP C-springs on my 97 mustang and i like em.. basically the bullitt springs.
work good in the city here with the shit roads we have.. noticably lower but not too much.
they also make B springs which are a little more aggressive.. alotta people on the sn95 forums like the FRPP springs. the most popular tho seems to be eibach. |

| In the Mustang world, H&R springs are probably the best. I ran them with a set of Tokico shocks and struts for 3 years before I went to a coil over setup. Ford Racing Springs are a good alternative. Watch out for Eibachs in Mustangs. Until about 1 year ago they had problems with sagging after a bit, so I would be cautious of any used Eibachs. |
