so i THINK i may have gotten a photo radar...
but the thing is, i know i was going over the limit
but the flash WAS NOT blinding, it seemed far away and it was only at the very corner of my rear view mirror...
could it of been someone behind me? and not me?
ive gotten one before and it blinded me but this one was at the very edge
any imput at all will help me sleep

Hard to say.
Were there other cars near you?
Were you flying solo?
Wait 2 weeks and you will know for sure. If you get one just dress nice, be respectful and have a nice plesant conversation with the crown prosecutor. You may have it reduced, or withdrawn. Remember to thank him for seeing you when you first meet him. I am pretty sure they never get that. :D

and one beside methat i was approaching..
when you mean crown prosicutor do you mean fighting it?
it was in st albert and im in edmonton, the last one i got from there was 62 in a 50 zone, (dark didnt see the sighn that time)
and i got it like... 2 months later :( |

I have been there before and not recieved a ticket.
Perhaps you were not speeding enough for it to trigger on you, but the vehicle behind you was... hard to say.
If you do get a ticket in the mail, you will have to speak with a CP in St. Albert as that is where the ticket will have been issued. The details will be on the ticket where to plead not guilty, same with the due date. I would call them first and ahead of time to make sure they have your ticket on file before you go in.
By speaking to the crown I do mean fighting it. :D
All you can really do is wait untill you get the ticket.
If the CP does not reduce or throw it out, just pay it on the due date. I never pay my fines early. Always on the due date. :D

You can not control if you have the ticket now or not. I would not worry about it. I would only focous on what you can control from this point and have back up plans.
Best case no ticket. Worst case, you fight, you lose, you pay.
It has been ages since I last recieved a photo radar ticket, infact any speeding ticket.
My most recent are seatbelt, tinted windows, and an improper angle parking ticket. Fought all 3 and only ended up paying for 1, which was the seatbelt.

| Heh, just got one tonight. Was doing 65 in what I thought was a 60 zone but there was no signs for quite awhile so I wasn't sure. Anyone know the price for that one? (107th ave and about 120th st) |

Yeah 107 Ave and 120 St will be a 50 zone.
I have been pulled over for 66 in a 60 zone. I'm 99% sure that the cop thought that it was a 50 zone.
Officer: "You know why I pulled you over?"
Me: "Actually, no. I thought I might be speeding, but I was only doing about 65."
Officer: "66 actually."
Me: "Isn't it a 60 zone on this stretch now?"
Officer: "... Keep it under the limit. Have a nice day."
To be fair, the speed limit had just gone up earlier in the month. |
