There have been so few movies worthy of my $15 to go see on the bigscreen lately... Quite disappointing actually. Unless you're talking the $2.00 theatre, because that can be fun, but I haven't really kept track of what's out there lately.

I've resorted to watching a lot of older movies, from the 90's and shit, lots of goodies back then.

the eye was better than Shutter.

10,000 - was okay
Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who - was funny
Jumper - was good
Drillbit Taylor - was funny
Run Fatboy Run - was funny, than kinda sad near end
Superhero Movie - was okay

Haven't watched a movie in the theaters for a while... admission has gone up, and movies are getting shittier and shittier....
I'd rather buy an decent movie on dvd that I haven't watched.

Cool just found a quality torrent for it :)

BARNSEY
The Bank Job was very good imo. Also, I just saw 21 on Friday...that movie was pretty good and thought it was worth the money...

I checked out shutter in Sherwood Park on tuesday (5$ night) and was thankful i didnt go any other night only to waste 7$ more. That movie was garbage, just like 95% of any japanese remakes

Blackout-spec
i saw 21 today and i liked it.
everyones different though.

Ruiner
for those who want the movies and dont worry too much about the lower (5-8/10) quality.. along with the random Finger fucking moron who sticks his hand infront of the camera.

using the program Real Media Catcher along side.. you can actually collect a decent amount of movies in a day.

If you have a FLV to AVI converter to go with it, you're laughing.. files are playable on xbox etc.

then.. if you're really lucky to have an AVI joiner program..

you can merge 3-4 files into one....

between all of this, you could reduce a full 750 mb movie down to about 600. slightly lower quality but still great for on the spot, on demand movies.

worth it

think its based on a true story

GOT SE-R
I just watched "Never Back Down" last night. I really liked this movie. 8/10. I thought it was going to be really cheesy, but to my suprise it was a good movie. If you watch the previews/trailers it looks really gay.

GOT BOOST
Shutter was crap. It had potential to be good, but like most hollywod rip off movies they fizzle fast.

Watched 10,000 BC on Friday. It was good from the special effects side, but plot and story line were lame. If you over look blatant historical errors it was not a bad flick.

It seems that movies are now being produced just for the sake of putting a movie on the screen. There are a few really lame ones (according to the previews) coming out soon.

Was going to watch the bank job Fri night. That was one of the other choices.

You can get your tickets for a good price at Costco, U of A, and AMA. When not paying full price, and it is a bad movie, you do not feel any where as ripped off.

Or there is always the internet for uh… previews… yeah…. That’s it.

haha internet "previews" errr torrents FTW...15 a movie..if you tihnk about it, the money u save just by downloading off torrents is worth the time
