how are these wideband a/f guages? i can't remember were these the ones that were ranked number 1 for best a/f guage?

Amazing... when they work ... I've had one for a couple months, great response time, supposedly one of the best available in terms of accuracy and good price. You also have to buy the SSI-4 interface to add "mandatory" functions like rpm, knock, boost, temp, ect. The logworks program that it comes with is good, easy to understand, sets itself up. IMO getting a gauge is a waste of money, Its much better to just go with the lc-1 kit and buy the SSI-4 separately. I think it came to $350 total for me; the price on the website is what you should pay, its the same at all stores which carry innovate motorsports products.
Downside is that the cable is db9 and most usb->db9 cables are sketchy at best; I'm looking for another one tomorrow (don't buy from the source). Next time I see a "NO SERIAL PORT CONNECTED" window on my laptop, I'm gonna put a knife in someone's throat!

would i be better off getting an aem one? i only need this guage for a/f. i don't need teh boost rpm any of that crap. The reason i asked is because there are deals when you buy a hondata s300. This guy i was talking to can get me a hondata, aem/innovate, and a p28 ecu for $700. saves me about $200.

ok, im pretty tired now and really pissed off because my laptop decided to give the usb ports a Fuck You!, so maybe i'm just not comprehending what you are asking...

LC-1 is a wideband controller, it is sold as a controller with a bosche sensor. You can run the signal from your lc-1 to your ecu, run the signal to your laptop, or run the signal to your gauge.... On its own lc-1 has no way of displaying the afr and it costs ~200.

You must be talking about the XD-16 kit, which is a lc-1 with some type of innovative wideband gauge. It is ~3XX. It is fine at displaying real time data but for logging it will be a bit of a hassle.

If you are just going to be running the ecu off of the wideband you do not need a gauge, you need the lc-1 (controller + bosche sensor). If you want a gauge to put in your instrument panel just get the xd-16 kit.

sorry, yah i was mixing them up. It is the xd-16 kit that comes with the ecu. I don't care for datalogging, the ecu can do that already. I just want the a/f to be displayed while driving on a gauge so i can monitor it.

reason i am asking this is because the aem wideband looks ugly imo. It does not match my other 3 prosport guages, where the innovate does match. It looks almost identical  I just wanted to confirm that this was the gauge that placed in the top two.

Your mixing up the kit names. The LM-1 is the kit with the control unit/data logger and wideband 02 sensor. The LC-1 is the kit with the XD-16 gauge and the wideband 02 sensor. XD-16 is the name of innovates 16 style gauge that displays the data.

ok sweet. I will be buying that hopefully in the next week then  Thanks.

lc-1 is the name of the controller... lol you better look on the innovate website but I beleive you want the xd16+ KIT (xd16 by itself is the name of the gauge). When I bought mine just after christmas JB's was the only place in town with it in stock, the price was exactly in line with price on the innovate website.

yah i will have to look it up. I am ordering all my stuff online. Screw edmonton. No one in this city can get me a hondata s300, all the software, chipped in a p28 (there is a p28 ecu included), with an innovate or aem wideband gauge (all the stuff needed to run them) for just over $700. everyone in the city wants over $1000.
