If it is anything like last year don't waste your *&^%N time. Paid $115, Submitted my car and here is what i went through!!
Paid for power at my stall, They never had the proper forms filled out so they changed my location twice when i arrived.
Instructed me to cover up my sponser decals or pay $800 commercial fee.
Changed my catagory three times in two days, Judged my car differently for each catagory.
Gave out trophies for placing third except because they changed my car catagory three times they made up the final catagory on the last day and gave me a trophy without a placard on it. (Thanks:mad: )
Another indavidual sitting at my table never even had his catagory called at the awards cerimony. Some judges were qualified and others didn't even know what JDM conversion ment.:eek:
Allowed some drug smoking lowrider club in that spayed gasoline and oil all over the floor then had a small electical fire. Thought they were going to burn the whole place down.
If your an import and havn't had work done by Sl(E)a(Z)y Motorsports you might aswell not even go.
So have fun and enjoy NOT

The woman who runs that show is an IDIOT haha. I will never put my vehicles in her show again, not until they can get their bs together and start running a proper show...every year it seems the quality keeps going down hill.
When I had vehicles in there a few years back I had a guy judging my class who had his own POS in the show haha...guess who got a trophy that year? |

someone or everyone complains about it (it's too much money, there was nothing good, it sucked, i didn't win with my car, bla bla bla)

hahaha.
i remember hearing a story about that kid at the edmonton motor show that ran between the bentlys and started touching and hitting them kinda freaked me out cause the metal on my car is prolly a lot thinner then a bently and more pron to dents. as long as my car was in a secured area i wouldnt mind.
in the end it all comes down to who can get there car finished and has the time and effort to enter there car. 20 or 100 entry fee wont really stop a car from entering. |

I quite enjoy doing the car show thing, especially the Powerama. I force myself to get the truck ready for spring and it gets a good cleaning for the new driving season. We use to do karts back in the late 80's and it ment pretty much the same thing - deadline time.
Plus its alot different being there and hanging out with budddies, its all about the cars, hell I'll walk around the show probably 20 times over the period of the weekend, just chill'n. Seeing different people and friends all weekend. Fuck'n best times:beer:

Just wait until Northlands is completely done their renovations & additions. The car scene will explode. Word has it that the Motorshow or something will have a SEMA like aspect to it. I hope this works and maybe we can draw some big players in the manufacturing world.
Our car scene is getting bigger and better IMO. The amount of QUALITY show n shine's in the summer is fantastic. I try to attend most of them. |

and when hot orange was briefly considered a good color for show cars.
if it still hasn't hit you.. it was the days of Streetglow and NAAAAWS! oh and diamond plate floorpans that fall out at speed. |
