So I have a 1999 3.2 TL...
The problem only happens when the engine is warmed up.
Basically, in the morning, I start the car, it starts perfectly fine. I make a couple errands turning the car on and off each time, its fine...
But after a few more times, or even just after the car has been driving for a while, if I start the car again, it will idle very low (roughly 400rpm or less), then it will shut off.
While it is idling very low, I can rev the engine to keep it up a bit, but if I don't drive the car away right away, the car will shut off.
If I DO drive off right away, everything will be back to normal.
Say I drive back home, then need to leave again, the same problem will occur... next morning will be fine...
Anybody have any ideas what's going on with my car and what needs to be done to fix it?
Thanks |

| sticking idle control valve, is the throttle body fly by wire? |

weird.... If the IAC is fine, maybe pressurize your system to check for vac leaks. Could only be happening when the gasket heats up and expands.
Oh and clean your MAF. |
