I've been asked several times what import events are scheduled for Edmonton in 2002. _With great pleasure, here is a preview. _
There will be 3 types of events, wrapped around a Sport Compact Car Championship (herein known as SC3)
Show Series
There will likely be a 2 events, the first in in Early July, and the second event in late September. _This will be an indoor night event which will be both a vendor Exhibition, Variety Show, and Show off, similiar to Hot Import Nights.
Drag Series
The events will be on July 19th and Sept 8th, which is an V8less (SCC/IMPORT) ONLY Street Legal and first of its kind. _This means no V8's, Muscle cars, and bikes, unlike last year's Sep 30th event where we were overun by muscle. _July 19th will be a night race, which will run to 1am! _Sept 8th will be a afternoon race similiar to that of V8less 2001.
Slalom Series
These Autocross events are very sketchy at this time. _V8less will own the autocross equipment and will likely take place at Budweiser Park in the staging area and based on availability. _Look at seeing 4-6 Slaloms.
Rules for SC3 are still being developed, and until we can confirm the Show and Slalom dates, we won't publish them, however your input is critical.
Having said that, running these 8-10 events will be very time consuming and will require a lot of planning and help. _If you wish to volunteer your services, please let me know. _Also, if you would like to sponsor the events, please let me know also.
These are all not for profit events.

It will be an all age show so it's gotta stay clean, if you know what I mean.

Loud/Quiet Exhaust contest?
Most outrageous execution of Neon on a vehicle (c/mon, you know there's gonna be someone who can fit this bill)
Dance competition- Girls and Guys dance off
Any way we can get one of those large R/C car tracks at our event?, like they have at the Car Show and WEM.
Model Car contest?
Largest grouping of cars without a Veilside/Combat/Shogun bodykit?...
