Well what a fucking joke, looks like I may have to make a trip over there to have some words with him, and a phone call to my lawyers to get them prepared. It's not like I haven't done it before.
All I know is this is border lining on ridiculous now, because his stories to you sound the exact same as to me. It's fucking impossible to have the same situation hapenning to every car someone brings in there.
I mean ill give him the benefit of the doubt for now, and if my car comes out running fine I wont be too pissed. As of now though I am so unimpressed with martin it is not even funny. I mean dont duck your fucking phone calls and hang up on people leaving messages. Real professional. If it aint ready or you blew something up be a fucking man and say it. If you dont know what your doing say the same thing Ill go elsewhere. I just dont see why the shops in edmonton feel the need to lie all the time.

| well im going in most likely next week for the remainder of the work. he will be building me a new downpipe, installing my injectors, map sensor, shorter oil return line, and remaking a portion of intercooler piping. he is also doing my s300 tune for free. since he admitted my part throttle was never tuned right, and the WOT tune worked good, he might be able to give me a decent tune out of it. if thats the case i can actually drive it this summer. also all i need to do is get a quote on my panel and he will foot the bill for that. everything sounds good, but we will see where it goes. im hoping it all works out. |

Just got an e-mail from Hacman and in the message he mentioned reading about hearing horror storries on 780. I did a search on my name and came up with this.
I have already talked to Tyler about his prelude and am doing everything I can to make him happy.
As for Hacman, if he wants to keep on with his agression after my e-mail response then I will post up the problems that we ran across with his install to show no fault at all on our part.
We are not a shady crooked shop, the 10s of thousands of dollars we lose every year in freeby work for our customers shows that we are not money driven, but customer driven.
Past delivery time issues are quickly being sorted out, and is the main focus at this time for our company.
We work on hundreds of the best cars in town a year, not 5 or six of the best cars in town a year like most shops. The demand is so high for our services that over bookings became a serious problem, and as anyone that calls now will see, we now book months in advance to better space the work out.

It doesnt expain what I am doing about tylers car because I have already been in contact with tyler about the issues. I don't need to run our dealings in front of you for approval. If Tyler wants to let everyone know our dealings than he is free to do so with my open consent.
I know you guys on this site have been screwed so many times by the many shops that have come and gone. This is not the situation here, Tyler would have never ever been on the hook for a dent that we caused, as he would never ever be on the hook for a crappy tune. |

why shouldn't it have? tyler has been missing a car for a year when it was suppose to take 2 months at most....i think if any of us didn't have a car for a year and it was due to shop error we would all be pissed. Hell, if you didn't have your car for a week due to shop error you would be yelling at me over the phone.

wow, this blew up.
what happened in the past happened. theres not much i can do about that. but it seems martin is making a honest effort to fix things so props to him for that. yes the car took a long ass time the first time and martin knows that. this time it should be done right and all parties should be happy with the end result. everyone deserves a second chance. theres a limited number of performance shops in the city, and most of them are aboard the fail boat. you have to work with what you have. i will probably end up cleaning this thread up/ splitting it up a bit. i jumped to conclusions too early. yes i have a right to be mad due to previous events, but i should have worked this out with martin before i made it public. i was just angry and needed to vent. but everyone knows where im coming from. i will keep everyone updated on progress once the car enters the shop. martin is just finishing up some cars this week supposedly and i should be in next week. Im not trying to piss anyone off here, or start a big brawl, I just want a running turbo prelude to drive around this summer and im a happy guy lol. |

UPDATE
martin pmed me back and said bring in the car wednesday for pickup friday. so it will be towed to afi wednesday morning. next weekend if everything works out i should have a beast to drive arounnd. heres hoping for the best. |

Trust me Tyler, they are not going to care at all without a file number. Think about it, what are they suppose to do without proof of a legal claim? People could just call insurance claiming people hit them just through word of mouth. The end result would be wasted time, resources, and money on the insurance companies part trying to figure out if it is true. The legal document allows them to have proof that something actually did happen.
As far popping it out. I will put 20 bucks on the paint cracking when you pop it out if that is the route you go :lol: seriously though :thumbup:

try giving alberta auto inspectors a call, they're open 7 days a week and they come to your location... dunno if they'll let you slide along with the modded part, but they seem pretty lenient from what I've read as long as the vehicle is in good running condition..

martin called me and he has the car. hes making the downpipe and doing the oil line today. then hes going to get it running good on the s300, then we can start cranking the boost. the damn clutch scared me when i backed it out today haha. i forgot how hard it grips. a did a mini burnout in reverse by accident. martin said the tow truck guy tried to pull it into a spot and he came in and said something was wrong with my clutch lol. |

cars is on the driveway.
picked it up from AFI and i was most impressed. runs good, idles good, boosts good, etc. martin did a good job. few issues i still need to go over such as mounting the front bumper properly, and getting a catchcan. smoke is coming from my valve cover breather after a few hard pulls. part throttle is good, no hiccups, or issues with the A/F ratio. fuck the clutch is a beast to drive though. along side no power steering and it gives you a workout. thats for sure. what AFI did was build me a wastegate dumptube, fix my downpipe, fix my oil lines, put a air filter on the turbo, went over everything, and did the tune. martin even let me drive away without paying a cent. I give credit when credit is due and it is definitely due here. A+ to AFI on this one.

very nice Tyler. I dropped the sway bar off at your house today. I wanted to pick that exhaust up as well but since you weren't around i wasn't going to bother trying to get it. I needed some garbage bags to cover it since it is wet and i was going to ask if i could cut the axle back part off by cutting those bolts off with the angle grinder. If you are not busy tomorrow we could do that. Let me know :thumbup:
On a side note, looks like your detail will be waiting until tomorrow haha. If it is nice tomorrow i can lend a hand with it. After all, i spent 1 year detailing. |

| not to hard. It is a couple bolts. You just need to jack the car up and you are good to go. 4 bolts total for the bushing clips, i think 4 bolts for the endlinks. |
