Changing of Accord Timing Belt..WTF? :P - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ryan G
looking for some help here
so i got this beauty of a car :) 1989 Honda Accord Lx 2.0 L
and the timing belt went on 'er

i loosened the valve cover to remove the top plastic part protecting the belt and pulley

and it looks to me like i have to remove 2 bolts that are supporting the right side of the motor to fully access the belt

i got this small air compressor to try and loosen the bolts (yes tighty righty, lefty loosy :P ) but lefty just isnt working....
is it cause ...
the bolts are too old to move?
bolts are threaded opposite?
or my compressor sucks?

any ideas?

o and for those who r wondering, i picked the car up for 200 bucks, and i really dont wanna take it to a shop cause it will cost up the a**. thats why im trying to do it myself with some help ;)

cheers

your little compressor probally doesn't have the volume a impact gun needs. try a breaker bar or pull the covers off and undo the mount bolts off the block

Just use a 3' snipe and some elbow grease. Leverage FTW!
