To other hockey players here, what do you do before a game to be in top shape to perform?
I'm a goalie so I usually have a nice carb loaded meal an hour before as well as a bowl of raw oats (don't ask). I hydrate like a mother fucker but still find myself getting dehydrated out there. |

| I usually just eat a high carb meal and a ton of fruit and veggies a couple hours before the game. Plus I always have my pre-game shit about 1 hour before ice time. |

A shit and a 15 minute run an hour before the game.
When I score, I keep the tape on my stick until a game where I don't get a goal then new stuff goes on. |

| Growing up, I used to throw up before every game. The games where I didn't throw up, I would play terrible, but when I chunked, I played some great hockey. |

Personally Goalies are fucked. They have mental issues or something :D Some of the pre game rituals I have seen, they are the worst. I usually pound back a beer, do a line of coke and slap my face 5 times before a game. j/k
I really don't have anything ritualistic, just make sure I'm hydrated and I don't pound back any caffeine or alcohol before a game. |

just to be in the right state physically and mentally really.
i drank a xenergy before my last game along with the rest of my routine. i didn't find myself tired at any point. i actually went for a run afterwards which is bizarre for me.
as far as energy drinks go.. it's this stuff or nothing. the rest is just kool aid with caffeine |

better stock up on all the xenergy you can find. Xyience went bankrupt a while back. |
