it's a 92 rx7 fd3s from japan. it's accelerating way to fast for the actual speed being travelled. for exampe it will say 120km/h when i'm only going 70km/h and after staying at 70km/p for a while the needle will just drop down to 70km/h from 120km/h.:dunno:
any of you guys have some insight on this? |

| welcome to the world of 15 year old mazda rx7's. here is the insight. they all do that.... your lucky my speedo and tach both do it. when you go to fix it only buy new cause all the used ones for sale will likely be just as bad. but if you want used i have about 4 in stock right now. will sell for 50.00 each. |

I had the same problem with my fd. I had a brand new speedo. But my problem was that the needle was rubbing on my white face guage and causing the needle to bind up. I just carefully pulled the needle up and it worked.
