Mixed tires =problem understeer. Even in an MR2. - Click HERE for Original Thread

I couldn't believe it last night. I had so much understeer last night I thought I might slide off the ramp from Whitemud to Fox Drive last night. I still backed off to about 90 at the end, so it isn't exactly dangerous, but still, a good lesson as to why you don't mix tires...

I was thinking yesterday that with all the warm weather lately,I must be burning up my winter tires pretty good. Since it was such a nice day, I figured I'd see if the old tires & rims from the RX-7 would fit. Turns out the too-small tires for the rex are just about right for the deuce. Great! I got the rear 2 on, and then noticed that one of the front 2 is almost completely flat. Not much of a surprise since they haven't been on a car in nearly 2 years.

Anyway, I decided to go to Timmy's like that and fill the other tire today. It wasn't bad, but on the way home, the summers held better than the winters. Not especially fun. I'm still on the winters up front because of the snow today, but the tire's filled, so as soon as the snow melts, the other 2 are going on.
