The Stig

I say quick, but it was probably 45 mins of searching for material to use.

elvis
your really good with photoshop, i saw the celica you did 2.

very nice tool to help decide what cosmetic mods to put on your car

The Stig

There it is without the CF looking hood.

I say Greg stays as the guy with the CLEAN WHITE R32 GTR instead of all CFy... heh

And thanks for the comment, photoshop + Cars = great way to spend a Sunday.

elvis
ahah well if your bored some sunday you should do mine :p
jk i dont even know what to put on it and i dont really have any good pics of my car yet

The Stig
I'm about to start on a Z for Aussie, so it'll be a similar project!

elvis
perfect are you posting it on a thread?

elvis
if you have the time can you make a stock body 350 with my color (silverstone) on a set of bronze work emotion cr-kai's and lowerd?

The Stig
I started to work on that for you, and bronze on silver looks horrible, sorry man I stopped because it was really very ugly! heh

elvis
ahha its not light bronze tho its very dark

crzyone
Ok Greg, now you need some LMGT4s

Car looks great. Must have flipped the pic because the exhaust is on the wrong side.

The Stig
I did, the steering wheel is missin too! hah

Godzilla
kick ass pics, thanks jamos.

yeah, i'm probably going to stick with the stock hood after seeing this. like most i agree that my car looks good all white like and such. but now i need to stretch my credit for some LMGT4's:D

crzyone
I think CF could look good on your car if it was matched with some other pieces. With just the hood it looks a bit off. Maybe a factory style CF wing?

Exact same thing i said. You can't pull of a all CF hood on an all white car with out some other black/carbon accents.

Godzilla
yeah, at the same time though i think one of the reasons my car looks so clean is the all white factor. if anything i might do a vented CF hood with a candy white paint job.

crzyone
The only reason to go with a carbon fiber hood on a GTR is to vent it. I don't think my CF hood weighs any less than a factory aluminum hood.

The CF hood that came with my car was not vented, so I sold it and bought a seibon jun hood. The vents probably help a little bit.

I also think I went a little overboard with the 2 tone theme. I'm contemplating painting my roof blue to match my car.

i did a test with my buddies carbon hood and from what i could tell my aluminum hood was lighter.

i like your two tone (at least in pics, still havn't seen it since the paint job)

crzyone
Adrian said something about a CF hood being 2 pounds lighter but I would think it depends on the hood. If you want to save weight you would need a dry cf hood, but I'm not looking to spend many thousands for a few pounds. Might be worth it if you go from a big steel hood though.

I like the 2 tone, just because it's different than 95% of the GTRs out there. Definitly not as clean looking as your car though.

now you're making me blush. i can't wait to finally see your paint job this year. my car should look a little cleaner once the body work is done. and i'm doing some engine dress up in the next couple of weeks.
