Help me build my pc - Click HERE for Original Thread

jarago
Heya guys,

I used to always build pcs but stopped years ago. I am not up to date on all the new processors and technology with computers teh way that I should be, so here's where I'm at.

I have 1500 dollars that I want to put towards a new pc. I do not need a monitor / keyboard or mouse, so this is straight for the tower only. Can someone give me an idea and price for the best pc you can build for ~1500 dollars?

Overclocking? Can save ALOT of money even doing some mild overclocking with cheaper parts compared to getting a more expensive equal performer.

I was thinking 286 but I heard you can get 386's for under 2 g's now, so I figured I'd try for that. Should I go to entry 386 or just a good 286?

Fire me a PM dude... I'm always willing to help. I could even sit down with you after you buy all the parts and help you build it, point out things you may have missed over the years, and I'll teach you how to cable properly for airflow and aesthetics.
