Laptop battery question - Click HERE for Original Thread

onestepback
I'm tired of the lame output from my battery. It lasts an hour and a half tops before I need to plug it in. My question is what is the difference between 4400 mAh, and 8800 mAh?

Any places you recommend I go to buy one?

The difference is 4400mAh...

Jeez, what are kids learning in school these days?

And I would order direct from the manufacturer or reseller where you got the notebook.

heres a related question, how long does a battery typically last if the laptop was just sitting and idling, or using something like a web broswer?

Sitting idle? In any sort of power-save state? Or sitting there with the screen still on and everything still functional, just not doing anything?

In a power-save state... Anywhere from 1-3 days.

In an idle state... Probably 4-6 hours.

All depends on the notebook and battery specs though.

...as long as the voltage is the same, the 8800 mAh battery will last longer.

... ebay is a great source for cheap rechargeables
