Anybody have any experience trading in Forex? Or have a broker that does it for you?
I just opened a $1000.00 account simply to play with on my own. In 3 days I've made and realized a $260 profit.
I'm quite aware of the risks, but I've been investing on my own for about 10 years now.
Any experiences to share would be cool, or strategies?
Probably the wrong website to be asking questions like this, but there seems to be a decent number of investors on this site... |

| Yup, ive been playing with it too lately... its interesting.. as long as you can beat out 90% of the other people you can make a profit.. cause thats about the total... 10% of people make money, 90% dont |

I ran a practice account for about 3 weeks, and I "made" quite a bit despite taking some hard losses with my first couple positions, but I figured I'd play with a $1000.00 for some fun, and if I make something of it, cool, it I lose some, oh well.
I personally have been focusing my trades around the Yen. |

| yen pairs are sketchy, but rewarding if you made the right call. :o Which broker are you with now? and I've been doing it since last summer. Not too many people are interested in forex on the site though I don't think. :o |

was really in it a while ago, made some money....I eventually over complicated everything and started doing crazy math formulas to try and maximize profit on everything but overdid it.
I am gonna get back in it soon, probobly using some simple indicators, price action and a simple ema. |

I've honestly been playing it with my gut. I look at the candle charts, and start at a fairly recent timeframe, like 5 minutes, and then back it out to a monthly timeframe, and make a trade from there.
I'm still learning, and I havent put too much thought into the prediction software out there, that use like fib #s and such.
My account is in forex.com's windows platform. |
