I have taken the liberty (more inside) - Click HERE for Original Thread

I took the liberty of telling the guys one prelude power across canada that if nobody takes charge of a National Canadian Prelude Meet that this club would take charge.

The Toronto Prelude Club said they would do something but they haven't and they are opting for Toronto to be the city where everyone meets. I said that is crap and nobody will drive all the way from the west to go to it. It is just too far. What i suggested is that we have the national meet in Manitoba. The reason behind this is because at most individuals will need to drive three provinces. So far people think that is a good idea.

Ryan would only need to drive 1 province, everyone in Edmonton and Calgary drive 2 and some Vancouver residents aren't opposed either because it is closer.

What do you guys think?

Thats the thread.

The meet would be huge. There is tons of interest, a club just needs to take charge. I think it would be a great way to get people to check out the club, learn about the club, and actually hear about the edmonton prelude club.

this would be awesome exposure, but the workload to make sure it would work flawless would be massive. we would need to set up a dyno day/ possible lapping day at a local track, bbq, maybe a night out on the town, organize a huge photoshoot, hire professional photographers, etc to make the meet a huge success. we wouldn't want to half ass it since it would represent the club, and we would have guests from everywhere. Its definately something we could go over though. We could make a meet for powerama and go over it, see what everyone thinks.

BBQ isn't hard. We just need to find a park in manitoba that has outdoor bbq's. We could host the meet there. This is why we would need to have some people in manitoba recommend some areas.

Photographers aren't needed. I am sure there are a bunch of people with really good cameras. I myself have a nice one. Photoshop is what makes a ton of those pictures look amazing and i have a friend who gets paid professionally for his work. he could do it for free.

If we find out where a track is in manitoba (whatever city we choose, most likely winnipeg) then we can just all drive down there or something like that. I would guess there will be about 100 cars lol.

It is not just our club involved, it is every canadian club. I am just saying, one of the canadian clubs has to start this since everyone is just pussy footing and saying "lets have it here" "no lets have it here" etc.

It has to be set in July. That is the best month for everyone, and enough time to set stuff up.

yah but the Sun is Edmonton....You guys need to realize that this is not happening in Edmonton. I just really want this to happen and nobody is doing anything about it. and time is ticking.

Exactly why that city is the proposed one. No one in ontario will go further, same with van. It is perfect. A couple guys from the states want to show up as well.

I would be down for this. But remember adam it's not epc anymore. It would be great to make this a couple days. Tyler you will have to ask devin where there are some good places to go.

Prudz_lude
bump, all the canadian guys want answers!!! i meant to bring this up at the last meet. We will have to all talk about it at the next meet.
