Hey, quick question, was just wondering if there's any laws stating a car can't be 100 percent chrome? Seeing as how its pretty blinding to everyone; just wondering if there is anything on paper.

I remember seeing a pic of a 100% chrome/polished bare metal car before. Cant seem to find it now though.

Theres a chrome corvette driving around edmonton...

He could get a stunting ticket as its distracting to other drivers hahaha

T2_05
^^That thing is blinding lol. Saw it last year.

AudiInProgress
Why would anyone do that?

Was metal Mario driving it?

I havent seen this thing around, but I hope not to on a clear day either.

Hmm, never knew there was one in Alberta. I know its distracting though to a point but I was just wondering if anyone knew of an actual law that would prohibit you from doing it.

I'm kinda curious as well as my car will be pretty blinding once the paint is done... PPG Frost silver with about a metric ton of PPG Prismatique holographic flake... should be able to see it from space.....

Keep in mind I don't really want to go overboard with the bling paint... but the materials were free... and I've already tried talking my hubby out of using the prism flake and he isn't budging..... I'd be happy with just the ice cold Frost silver... but that's just me.

Basically the silver and the prism flake will have the same effect as if I just ALSA CORP chromed the whole thing...

So can they really get you for stunting for having eye catching paintwork? If that's the case then everyone driving airbrushed Harley's and trucks should be ticketed, so should those advertising vehicles rolling around with vinyl covering the whole car should also be ticketed, same goes for those hideous ETS buses with the advertising slathered front to back... Go ahead, just try and tell me that isn't distracting....

I swear to you, if I get a fucking stunting ticket for my paint it WILL be fought in court till I win. I will then make sure that the cops can't use paintwork as a lame cop out to issue a ticket that will jack up insurance rates.

The most distracting paint job I have ever seen on the roads here was this winter....:

Is that a 1000GB USB flash drive painted onto the side of the drivers door?

Because it's a free country and not everyone has the same tastes?

Because we can?

Because it's there to do?

Because someone else had it and he liked it?

Who cares if it's pointless and it doesn't meet your high standards and flawless sense of style?

I say, if you got the money and it's what your into.. Go for it! To hell with what anyone else thinks.. it's not their car right?

I even give props to people that cover their cars in gaudy Crappy Tire "accessories" At least they are customizing their rides.. Maybe tacky but they show pride in their ride.

Yes it is. We actually chatted the owner of the van up while having breaky at Humpty's as my hubby is an airbrush artist... Nice guy, bit of a conspiracy nut....

MX5 Miata Guy
The Chrome BMW M3 is pretty well documented.

On my previous Miata (blue with double white stripes), I'd thought of replacing the white vinyl stripes with this chrome paint...but that project got sidelined and less than a year later I'd sold the car anyway.
