Hey i was wondering if anyone knows the stock height of exhaust lifter shims for an 87 supra? I have a haynes manuel and i cant seem to find it. Any help would be benificial.

what do you mean the stock height for a lifter shim?....are you refering to the size of the shim needed or are you refering to the clearance ....if you are refering to 1st one then there is no specific shim size...you have to check the clearance and then find a shim that will bring clearance back to acceptable cleaance range...

There lies your problem. If you insist on tackling repairs on your own at least do it right. These are the only line of manuals you should ever read if you want to become educated about your car.
Worth every penny.

I checked out the link you sent me and they dont have any toyota stuff? Any other credible manuals i should check out?

zupra.... on manuals i won't trust anything other than your car manufacturer's shop manuals. Most likely toyota won't have any available for sale anymore but call a toyota's parts department to find out for sure... Also check various supra's owners clubs on the net and see if anyone listed one for sale. Sign up for whatever supra mailing list u know of and post to see if anyone has one for sale. Sometimes if ppl w/ manuals are nice they can scan the pages u need to perform the work needed

some 3rd party manuals may work but i'd much rather have the manuals made by the same ppl who made my car

oh yah check ebay as well sometimes u can find some for sale if ur lucky just make sure it's the "big green book"
