He is a good Driver, but he was lucky...

AcousticAudio
Thats craaazy! Holy balls I'm impressed he held it!

Turb0.ed.v6
WOW same here.. that was very impressive. I mean heck during a slide what the driver does can really impact the result of the slide.. he did a good job no doubt.

gerrycurl
Lol, nice timing of the track too "Let your soul run free......."

Orzel_pl
Im glad he pulled over to check his pants, that kind of thing is going to require a 5min reststop.

Momentum
he reacted pretty fucking fast if you ask me...

True.

Even in my Benz in the winter...Its hard to get it to slide. Traction Control is pretty advanced nowadays.

Jamie

That was pretty cool, he reacted pretty fast too.

I'm a little confused though... why did he have a camera on in the first place? Was he documenting footage just incase shit went down? :dunno:

Momentum
He said he was on his way to the track and just happened to turn the camera on when he left

Soulfly
If could have reacted a bit faster and held it for a few seconds and NOT go back and forth...

Although.. It happens A LOT faster than it seems... :p

From watching the video though.. I can say that I would have started to react faster than he did.

SilverNeonRacer
the question is why was he doing 95mpg in the first place?

And why can nobody on that road drive in their lane?

midnite
he did pretty well, i've had a few moments like that as well. usually at higher speeds it's hard to catch an unexpected oversteer and control it without the tail swinging a couple times..

you have to react without thinking, because by the time you can complete a thought you've already spun.

i also noticed the other bad drivers.. i'd say he was driving fast to get past them ;)

It's much easier to pull out of a skid like that in a small FWD like your civic. I've had a lot of situations like this in my old corolla, and you just stay calm give her some gas and you pull out nice and easy and smooth. You should try it in an unstable RWD with a smaller wheelbase, like a sidekick. Cept if you fuck it up in that you get to roll around on the roof for abit. :D

I'm pretty sure that was taped in Europe somewhere. There drivers are taught how to drive fast and how to react unlike here you get tested by a guy that came from a country with no cars, or lack of, and he just got his licence 2 days prior to you.

Thanks Tips...

AudiInProgress
Well, considering it's an Audi, and looks like a relatively new one at that... It's more than likely Quattro.

I have seen shitty drivers from every ethnicity here.. and have seen all ages and all experience levels... It doesnt matter if you have been driving for 20 years if you have been driving like SHIT for 20 years..

You need to calm down son. I never mentioned anything about camels. Why do you have to be so racist?

yeah you didnt literally mention camels but i think your quote carried the same sentiment.

Anyhow, i made my comment becuase i am sick of "blame it on the immigrant" shit..
I dont think drivers are shitty becasue of poor road tests of poor licensing.. i think they are shitty becasue they are not courtious and dont pay attention to the road more than 5 feet ahead. They are oblivous to whats happening behind, beside or 2 cars ahead.

Bring on the grammer/spelling police... I am not on my spell check computer now so Rob feel free to make you infamous corrections.

RADRIDE
Here's news to you but I am an immigrant.

R.K.

quick_gold
Doesnt change anything buddy..

Edit: From actual experience i find that immigrants are more intolerant/racist than whites in some case.
e.g. I knew a couple of "fellow" Egyptians who treated asians (Chinese and Indians) like shit thinking they are somehow smarter or better.. So being an immigrant doesnt change a thing... its not where you come from or how long you have been driving, its how skillful, polite and aware a driver you are.

The problem is if we had a better licensing/road test half these people who drive "shitty" wouldn't be able to get a license and as such, wouldn't be driving.

I kinda agree, but the system right now is superior to other places. I think drivers education should be better though. It should be mandatory to take a defensice driving course for new drivers. And for out of Canada drivers they should be given a mandatory winter driving course.
I wanted to take that but insurance wouldnt give me any credits for it and it was pricey for me at the time, so i ended up teaching myself how to drive in the winter.

quick_gold
I will, however, concede that there are driving schools in the city where you are guranteed to pass the road test, and yes unfortunately they are predominantly geared towards immigrants.
