I just have a little bit of everything in here guys. Unfortunately I didn't have that much time at the show, but there were a few vehicles worth taking some shots of. Was nice to see a little more variety this year as well.

A few samples, link to the full album.

Hey Matt did you talk to Russell Mitchell at all? He seemed like a good shit when I saw him on Thursday during setup, didn't get to say "Hi" but any guy who rolls into a car show wearing a Dickies Flannel coat, bed head & not rollin with a hollywood entourage is in my good books. :)

ChromeDragon
I did, story will be in this Friday's Journal. Definitely a much more down-to-earth guy than some of the builders I've talked to. It was great when he put Gord Steinke (from Global) and his camera men to work helping him set up his tent.

Sylvan Lake V35
I talked with him as well he seemed like a great guy. He hung out and BSd with us for awhile (our cars were by his display) he was down to earth and just an all round good guy.

teg91
Matt.. What setup did you used to take all the pictures?

Depending on the shot they were all taken on my Rebel XT with either the Canon 50mm f/1.8 or the Canon 10-22mm.

Matt, what was your exposure settings for the Camaro shot? I like it a lot.

Would have to check the original when I get home here. I was just rolling around on manual all day, so my exposures were changing all the time. It was likely in the 1/80sec F/4.0 range. I can get the exact focal length if you're interested. That 10-22 is fun, but it becomes a PITA when you want to get close to details. I need a nice, high-speed like 10-50mm lens. Don't think that exists though.

Did you hand hold that shot? Looks very sharp! :) If you could get the info I would be interested. What ISO did you shoot it at?

Thanks!

I love old Truimph Bikes, I am helping my friend and his brother build one. It's a slow process due to the fact they have a few 30 coupes and roadsters on their plate now but it will be fun when it is done, a real death trap.

Its a 69 hard tail painted in a satin red (white pinstriping in its future)
Suicide stick shift
Brake and clutch levers in the opposite places so no braking and downshifting at the same time
springer front fork with cafe racer style handle bars
removed the front drum brake to clean up the look, so all it has now is one rear drum brake lol
