i totally screwed up when boosting my car - Click HERE for Original Thread

celica_awd
Ok, so your going to laugh. But this really sucks. A few days ago I left my lights on, thus car was dead. I decided to boost my car and realized that I hooked the booster on the opposite terminals. I think i fried something. hahaha. I have power, car turns but seems like theres no gas. It won't ignite or something. Any suggestions. Please PM or send me an email to celica_awd@live.com

Thanks so much you guys,

Cindy

Main fuse is blown....

Start by checking all the fuses. Hopefully thats all that's wrong.

celica_awd
I actually don't see a main fuse. I see a main engine relay fuse.???

:(

When I read the thread title, I thought I was going to come in here and find some hilarious story about a turbo install gone wrong.

How disappointed I am.

i thought it was turbo install gone wrong too. but anyways your ecu fuse probably popped, or some other big fuse.

If you dont know how to check your fuses, you should get your car towed to a mechanic.

i had this happen to a car at nait. I hooked up red to pos and black to neg and the guy doing the other side did the reverse and tried to blame me for it because noone ever showed him how to boost a battery. needless to say is the inline fuse from the battery to the computer poped and it is somewhere in a mess of wire looming. i think you just poped the relay or fuse for your pump. start with checking your fused then move to relays.

silvermist
also check your coil and see if that works then distributor( if equiped)
