| well if the weather was nice there is a lady in calgary swlling one with 81000 she is 35 and she bought it new as a wedding gift for herself has nothing dont to it she said she just liked the look and still wanted a 2doors as a weedding gift so i will look at it when these fucking roads get good we sent her a 50$ downpayment to not sell lol |

fuccckkkk, first didnt you say your budget was 10k, you wont get a type R that cheap (cheapest one i have seen was a 98 for 16,500), and to tyler saying you wont find a type R that hasnt been abused, type r owners are the the people you want to buy cars from, some of those mother fuckers dont even drive in the rain. abused my ass, taken care of yes.
your 10 k price range leaves you these options that are actually worth it:
if you stay honda:
1. 94 + integra GSR
2. 99 Civic SIR coupe
3. you say no but you mean yes 92 to 96 Prelude SRV
i'm going to have to say that, tibs are cheap, mainly becasuse no one wants them, and i think you are wanting to never own a lude again because you own one that is old as shit, and loud as gay. |

| no my budgets been 15 man the whole time and you can get 2001 for 16-17 man with around 100km and ya there very well taken care of cars yes some have been driven ard liek the ones on 780's but autotrader has a few and a few in calgary i hope to go see soon |

it is not a bad thing that those cars have been driven hard. It means the rings seated to hard driving making it much safer to bag on them than bagging on a car that was driven by a grandma.
The best thing you could find is a car that was bagged with a spotless internal engine. My prelude doesn't have any oil burnt in the head so you know maintance was never skimped and oil changes were done early everytime :thumbup: If you can find an integra like that you shouldn't have any problems! |

| ive seen my fair share of abused R's. 16yo's get their hands on them since mommy and daddy bought it for them and they drive them to shit. i remember one at a dealership on 97st io took a look at and it was beat to shit. was on the lot for like 3 months lol. and it was cheap. people don't buy type-r's to be nice to them. they buy them to drive them. there are some out there that are in good shape and usually when you find one thats in good shape its in really good shape. not really a in between. either abused or close to mint. thats my 2c anyways. |

| i agree fully wit htyler on this one and no you dont want a bagged car i dont car what you believe but i have seen many heads pulled of and seen my fair share of bad intake gaskets casue of vechiles being bagged, adam i ma sorry but i disagree and i aint buying a vechile to bag the shit out of i want a nice looking vechile that i cna have fun in on corners, i was 16 and had my fun bagging my prelude know i am a little older i dont need that fun anymore just want it for looks and fun when i need it |

I never said buy a vehicle that had its body bagged. I said that has been driven by someone who likes to unleash its power. If you don't believe that rings seat better from bagging a car than driving a car a grandma drove and then start bagging on it then you can argue with builders like laskey racing, av-engineering etc. I know tyler knows what i am talking about.
Find a good shaped body with a well maintained engine that has been bagged on. It is as simple as popping the valve cover and looking inside.
Also, intake mainfold gaskets can go bad on cars that don't get bagged on. Hell, hondata IM gaskets are shit when they are new. |

| my new civic i vtec'd out of the dealership lmao. i peeled out of AFI right after the lude build too. its more of a bagging on a car constantly. yes hard break in is good. as long as you vary the revs alot, engine break, yada yada yada. r's are starting to get up there im km's. and all im saying is they probably weren't the nicest of km's. |
