So at first I was thinking, who the fuck cares about this woman being in a mexicasa prision. She probably deserved it. Well after reading this:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/serv...tory/Front/home
Man is she getting fucked over by the Mexicans judicial system. Even when the dude who masterminded this whole thing... "She says she didn't know his business was fraudulent – a fact Mr. Waage himself backed up in a sworn statement."
Holy shit! And the Judge still ruled her as guilty and because of his stupidity, she is serving 5 years in prison. WTF?
I hope they get her out of that stupid country. Poor woman. |

Interesting.
So she worked as his chef in Mexico and was sacked in Mexico, given a severance, then reinvested the money into his "investment club"? WTF? I'm not sure on international law, but something sounds fishy here.
I think she is not divulging everything she knows. |

| did you also hear how the guy who fired her(Alyn Waage) gave his lawyer a $3.6 million house in Mexico that he bought with the illegal laundered money, and the lawyer accepted it as 'legal fees' but no one's said anything about it. and when CBC asked the lawyer about it, he was like I didn't know anything about it. |

| Her being convited for 5 years is acculy like her bring relsead, because now the Canadian gov can ask here to server out her sentace here, which the Mexicans will say yes to, once she hits Canadian soil they release her for time served. |

She or her parents lived a couple doors down from me in Trenton, My mom still lives there and says the media is there all the time lately
Its friggin weird that it happened to someone in our neighborhood and its now national news. |

meh, guilty by association.
you hang with or work for people of the wrong element and sometimes you end going up the river when they do, regardless if you are guilty or not.
and even if the Mexican officials have been wrong, by admitting a mistake could possibly undermine their justice system; which doesn't look too stable anyhow..
but this is just an uninformed outsider rambling, I could put more effort into reading into this case..but I just want the news to STFU and Brenda Martin to quit whining about how shitty her life is... she's gonna end up back in Canada with three square meals at a low security facility...
fuck, she's got more media coverage than I remember the Milgaard case getting..and it got a decent amount.. |

but they can say no, and they might say no. so lets hope the Canadian gov't. can put on some pressure and make themselves clear that they want her back. otherwise, she's fucked. |
