We had riots at the beginning of the 06 playoffs, too, so we're not any better. It has nothing to do with Montreal in particular. Assholes are assholes no matter what city you're talking about. It's mob mentality. People will do things in a mob that they would never dream of doing if they were alone.
One Montreal store owner who got looted showed the TV news camera the big rocks thrown through his window to get in. "We don't have rocks like this anywhere around here. The looters brought the rocks with them. It was planned." |

I think there is quite a difference in degree between here in 06 and what happened there. |
