I didn't realize that humans existed 70000years ago. I guess Indians weren't the first settlers in Canada. I want my money back.

The Genographic Project? I thought this was called the Human Genome Project. That's what NG was calling it a year ago, anyway. :dunno: Maybe this is a similar but separate study.
Anyway, it is very interesting work. By this study, we all apparently descend from the Bushman of Africa. Every human on earth shares a genetic tie with those people, even if they don't share much with one another. It's an excellent way of mapping the expansion and migration of humanity throughout the world.

| maybe history will repeat itself? I only hope. We need some sort of population control that is more effective and abrupt. We have turned into parasites :) |

We are older than you think http://mcremo.com/
We humans lived thru the last iceage but not as neanderthals and really gaver shit after it started to thaw barely 10,000 years ago.
Unfortunately people who believe that the statusquo must be upheld and that is Darwin evolution and that christopher Columbus found America type thinking taint what's out there. |

The Columbus thing makes me laugh. So many people believe that he was out to prove the world was round. The round Earth had been accepted ages before Columbus came around, and 'The New World' had been discovered years earlier as well. He was just the first to cross the Atlantic sanctioned by a Crown. Imagine you hit 400mph in a stock passenger car a week ago. If your neighbour did it this week with the folks from Guinness watching, he did it first.
Did you know Columbus was afraid to cross the Equator? It was common belief that crossing the 'line' would cause your skin to turn black, permanently.
If you are looking for a chuckle, do a little reading on the Antipodes. |

I really dig human past shit, " Chinese Scientists Conclude Wushan Find Is Oldest Human Fossil In China At 2.04 Million Years "
It was god's will that Columbus found the America's! it's so funny and sad, the Egyptians had a copper trade going on in Michigan with the Indian's.
I will have to look again but I think his name was Ben Smithsonian after discovering ton's of artifacts of Egyptian and Indian nature inside these large burial mounds he's reported to have destroyed over 1200-1500 artifacts, no one really knows how many but it was something he was dedicated to for a few months.
All that is left is a few mounds he did not find that had copper ingots with the stamp of the first Egyptian queen.
The lost ship in the Californias Salton Sea basin Since after the U.S. Civil War and the gold rush were people found chunk's of wood and gold and ore poking outta the sand, some as far as Colorado.
During the last iceage most of anything that lived stayed in the green belt along the equator and that's were stories like Atlantis come from, the ice really chewed the hell outta most of anything of civilizations that were before farther inland.
There's so much from Sumatra Indonesia, africa, the Caribbean cost line is littered with what look like villages that are now underwater, sea levels were a few hundred feet lower than they are now and so much is just sitting there off of coastlines that could really help us all understand were we came from. |

The chinese one is an interesting idea, but keep in mind it was chinese scientists who "found" the artifacts. Chinese science isn't exactly free of political motives. This is the same type of chinese "research" that says the Philippines and Hawaiian islands are originally chinese territory. My girlfirend was working on a genetics project with her part of the work being done in taiwan and another part being done in china. When they made a breakthrough and a mojor portion of their stuff finished early and posted on the project website on a friday, the chinese group managed to have their end suddenly finished in less time that it takes to perform the experiments, just in time to be made public the next monday monring, before the taiwanese announcement.
They also try to suppress the find of white mummies in china from thousands of years ago.
