Yes, I bought another car. A friend's little brother bought a newer Subaru and the friend asked me if he should call Kidney Car foundation to come pick up the car. His brother didn't want to bother spending time advertising it for sale, so I just picked it up from him for pretty cheap instead of sending it to the wreckers.

This thing definitely did not belong at the wreckers. I believe it shall become my ice race car for next winter.

That's right, for the first time ever I've joined the Honda nation. 1990 Civic Si. Pretty high KMs, but it runs like a top and the body is pretty straight. A few cancer spots, but I really don't mind as they'll likely be knocked off the car by other cars on the track. hehe.

JeepGirl
Some people have all the luck!! Nice find. Welcome to the unwashed masses!!

This is the second time I have seen a nice older honda go for cheap just to be abused on the ice track... :(

That little yellow 1G Civic was basically given away too and turned into an ice track car.. what a shame!

I swear if I have another Civic given to me I'll restore it then turn it into an electric DD.

*EDIT*
Actually.. for it's age.. that car is in really nice shape.

flatboy
That thing looks pretty good:thumbup:

Man thats rad! I want an ef so bad.

Welcome to honda...now sell it to me before you destroy it!

Soulfly
You should Trade it to someone who has an EF in a bit worse shape... lol... I know a guy you could trade with.. ;)

If you need any help getting it ready for ice racing just let us know. We have built our share of them and we seem to do all right out on the track. ;)

Man, nice find. Best gen. Civic if you ask me, almost bough a DX last month. More pics?

EGs are far superior cars, having owned and driven a bunch of both. :p

My ice racer is still a EF though.

It's not even a EF.. it's a ED.

and those 92-95 civics are EH's.

I know you think you know more then everyone else. But you don't. I am completely aware that the JDM cars have a different chassis code then the USDM models. But in fact the majority of the people in the scene refer to the cars by the codes the cars came with in a japan. Here have a cookie for making your self feel special I am all out of gold stars.

Thanks for the cookie. Who gives a shit what ppl refer it to... they're wrong..your wrong.. and you all look like wanna be fags.

Why don't you go crawl under the rock you came out from and let everyone else here have a good time. I personally have been working on hondas for over 10 years. I actually have raced them against other cars on a real track. I think all you have really managed to do in a honda thats worth remembering is downshifting from 5th to 2nd and completely destroying the engine.

zhao
saying you have a EG6, or EK9 (when in fact you actually don't since those were never sold here) is like saying you have a type R integra when you only have a LS integra lol. i mean, aren't type R badges on a non type R gay? so why say you have a better model then u actually have when refering to chassis codes.

if people want to sound cool and call cars by the chassis code, i think people should probably use the correct code.

SpeedwayRacing
Well I happen to own a DC2. You understand what I am talking about when I call my 93 civic a EG do you not.

lol everyone knows that.. if only you saw the state of that car before.. i even told the owner it need shifter bushings among other things breaking on that car. Regardless i could care less.. but honda does make some shitty tranny's.. almost every honda tranny grinds.. or will start grinding soon.

SpeedwayRacing
If its driven by people like you that have no clue what they are doing.

lol.. your hilarious man. Go check rsx forums and see how many ppl have done that exact same thing. I'm not saying i'm god's gift to driving.. i can be modest and say i still have alot to learn.. but i don't drive like an idiot. I'm pretty precise and collected for the most part. I've driven cars all out with 400+ hp and had no problems. Let alone be driving for 6 years with no at fault accidents. Isolated incident. Don't worry man.. you won't see me driving an ultra cool EG hatch or any other honda anytime soon.

EK9Hatch
Holy shit threads get off course in a hurry on this forum.

Anyways....

Nice find Matt. Looks like its in really nice shape!

Nice looking EF! Is the sunroof power?
EDIT: Judging by the guard it looks like it is :p

I love these little cars, I had 2 of them before I got my EG :dunno:

Welcome to the family! I can't wait to see that thing caged and out on the track having fun. :)

I wish people like JeepGirl would understand that turning a car into a racecar is a far better fate for it than converting it to some electrical POS.

As for that yellow civic that I towed away, it's going the resto-rod route. So please, if you don't mind JeepGirl keep ruining ugly 3rd gens with your denali seats and leave the rest of the nice cars to those of us that know what they are good for, the track.
